We can’t judge this year, the players, or Brian Kelly for doing what he could to salvage the mess that Orgeron left behind. Frankly I’m pretty happy with the quality of players we were able to sign.

Next year the toxicity of the program will be behind us, and a full year of Kelly and staff recruiting the state of Louisiana will yield great results.

After these La guys go to Bama and sit this year, Kelly and Frank have the chance to tell all future La recruits to not buy into the BS promises.

Did you take time to consider that we have heavy bidders to the east and to the west cherry picking the state?

If we get our shite together with NIL and start paying for our talent, we’ll be fine. Haven’t seen that yet though…

That won't be an issue next year, guaranteed

It is really Frank or is it those three letters on his polo that make recruiting success?

You better have a top 10 class next year. If it’s not then there’s major problem

Kelly was consistently in the top 10-15 ranked class at ND…a pretty tough place to recruit these days. I don’t think we have to worry about recruiting.

People do realize this recruiting class is not finished and rankings change a lot of all star games. Do many 5* kids pan out? Yes, but if that's all you ever look for, you'll miss out on the kids what won our last championship.

We lose players every year. Others states lose players to us. Nature of the business. We had a coaching change in a year our state was loaded and others had time to put together NIL deals and trash us.

Go win games next year and prove we are back. The kids will show up again.

Problem is, next year doesn’t seem like a particularly strong year for louisiana high school senior class relative to other years.

Saban and Miles began their careers at LSU with #20 and #21 first classes. Last I saw Kelly's class is 18 with the February NSD ahead.

Saban has been cherry picking Louisiana for the last 12 years. And he still did when frank was on staff before. What’s gonna change next year? Are you an idiot?

It's both but the letters on the chest are more important. Frank's idol worship around LSU is puzzling. Many still bitch, make snide remarks about 5-5 and that was all Frank. Bama still stole kids when Frank was here. He's a great hire and will pay dividends but LSU recruited just as well before him and after him as they did with him. He's not infallible and things aren't the same as even when he was here before. These kids have loyalty to no one and far too many outside influences for even the best local recruiter to overcome.

Do you consider that we have asked the business owners and boosters to pay out Orgeron and his entire staff this year

That cut into our NIL funds for this recruiting cycle big time. That will almost certainly change moving forward
