Coach O mentioned he was looking at OL, CB and Safety. There were rumblings on the rant about a Florida player and Julie Boudwin on tigerdetails mentioned his name.

We have 3 spots left, presumably. I could see two of those spots as OL but not the third. B Thomas would be the obvious choice for that spot but what if he goes elsewhere? Why didn't Coach O mention, WR was still in play?

I could definitely see a scenario where we take two OL and Balfour.

Let’s hope not. Terrion Arnold is the only DB left on the board that’s worth taking at this point but Bama, Florida, and Georgia lead for him.

Any concerns this means toles has transfer potential?

If you have Harris, Hampton, toles, sage, davis... why the need at safety. 2 studs commited next yr, and another 1-2 in state as well.

Toles did tweet something negative about Baton Rouge recently. I would not be shocked to see him in the portal.

Trust me, Balfour is a very good player.

Someone I’ve wanted in this class for a while. We also need another pure corner this class

What?

With the addition of McGhee they have 7 scholarship corners on the roster

I think we are going to have the best set of 3 corners in the country next season. Stingley and Ricks on the outside with Sage Ryan in the slot. Ryan will be on the field day 1. He’s a playmaker. If McGhee is the real deal we are fine at corner. I think McGlothern flashed potential as a true freshman and flott and ward are serviceable.

Ricks was our best DB this season as a freshman and sage is a can’t miss prospect in the secondary. Langlois and Davis Jr. are ballers too. The future is bright.

What does a corner offer have to do with the need at safety?

This isn’t like the NFL. The number of corners on the roster has no bearing on the number you should be recruiting. What matters is the number on your roster that WILL be on your roster in two years. If you have ten corners and all are juniors and seniors you better be signing four corners.

DBs get injured a lot.

Never too much roster room for fresh strong DBs.

This kid does look good, long strider, but people can't catch him even when they have an angle on him.

They mentioned coach O saying we are still looking at safety. Just asking why, if we have 6 on the roster with the 3 new freshman, 2 commited for next year already, are we looking for another.

Rather use it on a transfer te or immediate impact lb if cox is gone.

Oh yeah. I guess he was specifically mentioning Gilbert, who lied to them about not signing. That position is done.

Curious to why he’s rated so low with such a good offer list
