I think he’s trying to say Waters would struggle in the NBA because bigger guard would post him up...
thank you

Stop complaining. There is little to no legit info in here. It’s just basketball discussion

Latest word on Braun is he's concerned about playing time as a freshman at LSU and is likely to commit to Illinois, and Wade and the staff are moving on to other options.
So there's that.
So there's that.

It’s insane how fast we’ve gone from a bare cupboard to recruits being concerned about playing time

On to the next one.
Gonna take specific type players for Wade to fill out remaining roster spots it appears.
I really want a physical big 6’8” or taller (if available) to go along with Reid and Bigby-Williams.
3 bigs please!

Why would a project/late bloomer be worried about playing time as a freshman? That is moronic. He should be looking where he can develop and get substantial playing time as a junior.

Completely agree.
Especially when said late bloomer is 6-9 and 205 pounds, and clearly needs 30 pounds of beef put on in the weight room and training table.
But if we're moving on we're moving on. Maybe there's a JUCO freshman available who can help, or an international player.

I'd say he's more like 180 pounds, he's very very thin, like Chris Johnson thin

You would expect he’d be riding the bench his first year no matter where he goes. I was hoping he’d be a player that could help us in 3-4 years. Oh well.

He is listed as 6-7, 185 on 247. There are few finished products available at this stage of the recruiting season.

He's supposedly in something of a big growth spurt. His AAU coach says he's 6-9 and 205 right now.
I doubt LSU would be interested if he was still 6-7, 185.
Anyway...next!

I guess if early playing time is paramount in his decision, then there isn't much LSU can do. LSU has a 6'11 5th year senior with major conf. experience and two potential NBA players (Reid & Emmitt Williams). Those guys aren't sitting much this season.
From all indications he needs to mature physically before he can really be effective. That would be the case at LSU or elsewhere. However, the good news (for him) is that at least 1, likely 2, and perhaps 3 of the guys ahead of him will be gone after this upcoming season. He could mature as a freshman in a low-stress situation (he wouldn't be a focal point this season), then step into a starting role next season. But, to each their own.

What we're looking for is a kid who can be a safety valve contributor to give us height off the bench in case of injuries or foul trouble, and then blossom into a legit SEC starter at the 5 in his second year.
Which says "international player" to me.
You find a Jose Vargas somewhere this summer, and you've nailed it. I'm guessing we could do that, though I'm not all that up on Wade's international connections. Gotta figure if there was a high school kid still out there better than Braun we had a shot at we would already know about him.

That would be Javan White...
If Wade finishes this class with Taylor at the wing and White on the block, both immediately elligible, both double figures scorers in their most recent season....All added to the 4 man freshmen class that is made up of two sure thing blue chip 5 star forwards, One of whom is also a very good chance at being a lottery pick and a one and done. Along with the other two high 4 star guys who can both score in droves from the wings....Add in Bigby Williams becoming elligible...
God if we can just make sure to get Waters to come back for this next season with all this talent stockpiled....
If waters does return and you finish this all off with White, then you've got a true forst and second unit that is able to compete with any type of program they'd potentially face offf against next year....
It's not a weird thing to say that a sweet 16 with that roster is somewhat of a disappointing outcome....
I realize that is so insane to think about but seriously....I'd be happy with just a tournament berth and decent showing even if they lost. But with that team I'm honestly expecting multiple weeks in the top 10-15 and a real run at the reg season title, a top 4 seeding in the NCAA tournament and a possible elite 8 run being the real and true expectation. It's a real possibility with Wade running the show here.

I thought White decided on Clemson? Was that not official, or did he re-open his recruitment?

When Waters decides to leave LSU , he better learn a foreign language so he can communicate with his teammates
