Man.... it’s hard enough to find good LSU hoops recruiting news on the internet, now you assholes are gonna take the one place that does distribute good info and turn it into a pissing match? Awesome, good work.

I have no idea.
I would have thought he'd take Lavar Batts, since Batts was his marquee recruit that last year at VCU, but the last thing I heard was LSU wasn't in on that one. Batts would seem to fit for us seeing as though Waters has an eye for the NBA, Daryl Edwards is a senior and you can't expect Smart to be here more than a couple of years.
Other than that? No idea.
I really wish he could get a big man in here who can give us one more guy in the post for this season. That's really the only piece missing. But if he gets a guy who can step in and start next year at the 5, I'm OK with that guy not being eligible right away.

I just saw that Parker Braun committed to Mizzou today as a preferred walk-on. Weird move with the scholarship offers he had.

Whaa? This doesnt make any sense at all, he has to be on scholarship, he had a handful of scholarship offers, maybe a delay 1 then get scholarship like a greyshirt?

From the Mizzou board, it looks like he will be on scholly his sophomore year. He has a ton of family ties to Mizzou apparently.

Word I heard is we pressed for a commitment when he came here and told him it was a take-it-now-or-hit-the-road offer.

Yeah Billy said as much on 247, he basically had a few days after he left to commit and if he didnt they were moving on and looking at other guys to bring in

Do you honestly think that Parker Braun would have made us better this year or next year? In my opinion, we are better getting two established players that will help us rebuild after we lose a significant number of players to the NBA next year. Braun will sit for at least three years before he get's significant playing time at MIZZOU. I say wish the kid luck and move on to better prospects. I hope with the players we get, at least one will be a post player to replace Naz Reid and Kavell Bigby-Williams.

Potentially, all depends on how he develops. He clearly isn't an elite recruit or anything, but like with any guys with his skillset, they can become good contributors down the line. I like to think of Braun as an Aaorn Epps type. You know you wont get much from them early on, but by years 3-4 could turn into a solid role player.

I wonder if Wade is working on Malik Crowfield from VCU. That's a kid from Riverside Academy he recruited to there.
I don't know if he's good enough to get excited about, but he's a pretty good athlete. And they seem to be going through a bit of an exodus over there right now.
