Never Forget That Jetts Was a Two Star

Terrace Marshall was a five star who played well but got upstaged.
All these ratings do not guarantee greatness.
Five star QB for $10M? Seen these guys flop repeatedly.
I'm so glad we got linemen and some help for Durham. To me this is a great class

Now do % of 4 and 5 star players that turn out good, vs % of 2 star players that turn out good, or 3 star for that matter.

He was only a 2* because he was thought of as an academic casualty, no chance to qualify. He ended up qualifying last minute and got the LSU offer.

We can't forget. Because everytime we miss on these targets folks quickly remind us about it.

This has been explained over and over and yet the fable continues. Indicative of how many of the rumors take life in the recruiting world. Someone hears something once and run with it. There's still a large portion of fans that believe Tyrann Mathieu was a 2* when there's literally websites showing different. Misinformation is gonna be the downfall of society.

And 18 out of the 23 players we signed are 4 star or better.

We know we know, we remember he was a 2 star every year at signing day bc someone posts on it

There are a lot of 4 & 3 stars than there are 5 stars. Simple math says the % will be better with lesser sample size

I think a better reminder is that half of the class won't do anything at LSU.

Brian Kelly signing no 2stars this class is another fireable offense. Someone should tell him about Justin Jefferson

Never forget you need to thank Deshaun smith for not coming to lsu. They pivoted and offered Jetts

That’s on a tiny bit of the story. Jefferson did not play his senior year at Destrehan. He was hurt. He also did not camp. So he flew totally under the radar. Recruiting services could not get their eyes on him to give him a star ranking. But who had eyes on him was the LSU coaching staff because JJ was hanging around LSU practice facility with his brothers and friends and he was dogging them.

If there is a pool of 250 players:
(30) 5 stars
(110) 4 stars
(110) 3 stars
And you get to draft the first 30 best players in high school, and label them 5 stars, you are going to have a higher % of NFL players in that group for multiple reasons.

Yeah that's why Saban wanted teams full of 2 stars

I'll take the highest amount of 5 stars. Seems like Bama and Georgia have had nice consistent success.

The main reason is they are better players.
