I disagree. He may be ineligible but let’s face it when eligible or not he hasn’t been reliable on the field. Yes he has had a few good games and plays but he is inconsistent at best. Goodwin is hurt every year so you are not sure he will be there or not. Williams and Cain are reliable and we have two freshman. I would say he is 100 percent a take.

LSU's best running back is their quarterback... You take who you can get and hope two become your workhorses. Any who don't make it will hit the portal anyway.

The idea that anyone thinks LSU doesn’t need a RB is absurd.
I think it’s the biggest unaddressed issue.
This is the weakest RB group at LSU in a very long time.

Ya, a whole year.

I think safety is a bigger concern simply because there's not much depth , just true freshman behind Burns and Brooks. But Diggs would definitely improve the RB room. Goodwin and Emery can't be relied on so that leaves Williams and Cain with experience. Solid players but Diggs is probably an upgrade over both

shite, I've talked to one of our WRs who told me that's our weakest spot on the team as of now. We have a walk-on starting.

Not really, a lot of question marks right now.

So is being a walk on like being a D___sucker? Suck one d__ and you are a d__sucker for life. Williams has been on scholarship for at least two yrs… damn, give the man some cred.

With Emery ineligible, it’s worse.

This board finally realizes we're not that talented at RB? Been saying it for a year and plenty of people arguing against it too. Hopefully we can get some emergence from the 2 freshman. They have nothing but average on our roster right now otherwise.
Williams - workhorse but not going to scare any defense
Goodwin - I think he has actually been injured like 4-5 years in a row dating back to high school so yeah
Cain - situational back at best
Emery - who the f cares at this point he had plenty of opportunities to show up
Jackson/Holly - unknown

I'm a huge fan of Williams and I don't think he gets enough credit from fans. However, Diggs would instantly be in contention to be the starter. Having a 3 headed monster of Diggs, Williams, and Cain means anything we get from the other four would be a bonus.

I love Williams to death man, and he’s a great back but we need better. Teams don’t have to scheme for Josh Williams-getting a back that does causes problems for defenses

Is Diggs that good? Serious question as I have no idea

More physical and better blocker than Emery but not as much juice. Not as physical or as good a blocker as Cain but way more explosive. Better pass catcher than both.

Kid isn’t coming here to fight that depth chart. He will go to Tulane or LA Tech.
Posted on 4/29/23 at 12:59 pm to LSUPilot07
He'd start here. Why would he not?

quote:Yes we are. We return our top 5 rushers who had 2500 yards and 38 TDs. Even taking Daniels out that's over 1600 and 27 TDs. We bring in 2 true freshman RBs too so that's 6 RBs with 7 rushers. We could literally lose 3 RBs to season ending injuries and have 3 RBs and a 4th rusher.
Are we?
If this isn't to prepare for 2024,then it makes no sense.

Who would put their trust in Emery?
He has earned every criticism, IMO.
If he is not injured, or academically ineligible, he is fumbling.
Fool me one, twice, thrice......
