Caring about education is racist.

Athletes have almost an entirely different college experience than regular students. They have special facilities for academics, special courses tailored for athletes, special tutors, special academic requirements to be admitted.

Colleges have been doing everything they can to make academics as meaningless as possible for top tier athletes.

Colleges and the NCAA sold their soul to the TV Devil for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Games are to fill time slots and certainly not for the local fans (LOL!) I have been going to Tiger Stadium since the early 60's and all the fans I know want night games. However, TV tells the teams who and when to play to fill slots.
Sadly, very few football and basketball receive an education.

The NCAA only cares about hanging onto the little bit of power it still has and keeping the NCAA Basketball Tournament going, since that’s it primary source of revenue.

They basically have no control over P5 football anymore. The conferences are the only organizations with any real control there at this point.

I'll wager the law suits regarding eligibility/grade point average requirements will start soon... In California, just like NIL.

The Supreme Court made this ruling. The NCAA can’t stop it.

NCAA has little to do with NIL since the Supreme Court ruled their regulations on NIL were illegal

That was a 9-0 ruling, by the way. Unanimous. Clarence Thomas and Sontamayor agreed on this point.

Correct

In what other business can companies, in this case universities, band together to control labor expenses for the rank in file anc stuffed outside in one; while administrators keep making bigger and bigger salaries.

Not in the US.

Never did. Honestly, this should just be minor league football at this point with no affiliation to universities.

Scholar athletes are a big lie. College Football is a minor league for the NFL.

Definitely need a mandatory ‘manage you money’ course first semester. Used to not have to worry about that one.

Do you know the AA is for athletic association, and as an association it executes what its members (universities) vote on? If the NCAA doesn't care, that means LSU and the other member schools are fine as they voted for this.

College football is rapidly turning into a semi-pro league. It won’t be recognizable in a very few years.
