Baton Rouge Inner city kids love bama. They grew up going to Southern games and no attachment to LSU.

100% accurate. People don’t wanna hear it, but they see Bama now like the lakers or Patriots or Yankees (in their hay day)

He will never suit up for Bama with Trey Sanders Camaar Wheaton there plus the top RB for his class already committed

You think Moss is Najee Harris?

You picked one BAMA RB that got picked 24th and one other picked right behind him. Last half of the round.

In the last 10 years, 17 RBs have been picked in the 1st round and the narrative continues to trend that GMs don’t like picking RBs in the 1st round. It’s the way the game is going. Not even 2 RBs per draft.

Moss is a good back. And to be honest with you, I don’t blame any kid in Louisiana for wanting to leave the state. If he wasn’t going to BAMA, none of you would be melting hard like you are because BAMA posters around talking shite.

They’ll find someone else for that scholly.

Not sure this one is over but LSU is always about as good as anybody in the country at rb and no reason to think they won't continue to be. Good get for us but as others have said, it's June..long ways to go yet on this dude

If Etienne is in this class, we screwed up badly

I don't know much about either player. But watching Moss's highlights, and comparing the guy at Clemson, I would take Etienne. He caught the ball, ran over folks, and out ran others.
I didn't see Moss breaking many tackles of HS defenders. He is fast though.

conversely some of us were warning about this when a lot of LSU fans were rooting for Bama over Texas because SECSECSEC

Give me a blue chip OL over a big time RB. One makes the other look better. LSU has had an issue keeping the local BR kids to stay home to a degree which is to be expected. I know when I was 18 I was ready to get as far away as I could to experience new things.

I’m disappointed in this because I really like his game and have for some time. He also has a really talented little brother from what I was told, although I’ve never seen him. I also like LSU giving an Istrouma kid a shot. That’s really the worst area of Baton Rouge and I like throwing those kids some love because God knows, nobody else does.

On the other hand, running backs in Louisiana are a dime a dozen.

It really shouldn’t be an issue if Kiner and Goodwin are as good as they seem to be. RB and WR are always replaceable but elite DL, OL and QB are harder to find.

It's obvious LM had other ideas. Move on and trust KF and the staff.

none who warned about it or none that were rooting for Bama (or against Texas)? Because there were plenty in the later group

We say that, but LSU hasn't signed a game breaking RB out of the state of LA since Clyde back in 2017. Etienne went to Clemson. Pooka went to Kansas. TDP and Emery have shown flashes here and there, but in two years neither has performed anywhere close the level of some of the other LA RB's in the las 10 years or so (Fournette, Hill, Guice, CEH)

Hopefully this is the year one or both of TDP and Emery turn the corner. Or, the two freshman are great players. I agree that great linemen are MUCH tougher to find than good RBs but it hasn't quite been "plug and play" with great LA RBs as it was in prior years
