Outside the BK meme threads, this is turning into the most absurd thread on TD right now haha.

I'm dead serious though. I just went grab lunch and they had a couple of posters in their front yard for Shazz and I was like damn they support this dude fully, had no idea he was a national recruit

I retract my statement, I read that as his dad was so uninvolved in his kid's lives that he didn't know they played football at all haha. The main pic didn't have his dad in it and I know nothing about their family dynamics haha

No, I was saying, I didn't know his sons were recruits. I went back and edited it to be more clearer.

Did you literally just make that up? If that's true in any capacity, Mickey is probably getting fired. You dont give your boss ultimatums. If you have to give your boss an ultimatum then you're clearly slacking

Why would i make that up?

Someone said it on the coaching changes board and a few people agreed that it happened.

Was just wondering if there was any truth to it.

If you spend too much time on the Rant or CC board and come back to this one, it's easy to forget that people on the recruiting board can't handle any actual or perceived negativity at all. This used to be the only board I would post on, but I think the sissies are taking over.

I said I didn't think we could finish with a top 5 class this year and got downvoted to hell. Not that I care about downvotes, but it obviously shows many people were offended that I didn't think we can finish that high.

Anyway, about Joseph, I read the same as you and I can't remember who posted it, or agreed with it, but I think it was some people I respect as posters, so I thought there might be some truth there as well.

ETA: and I hope it's not true, because Joseph was one of the guys I would be in favor of keeping. Apparently ND fans didn't really like their WR coach much at all, and say what you want about Joseph, but he's a tremendous recruiter (and I think he's gotten a lot better as an actual coach too).

In general, I've felt the same way for a while now. Fine example, if you were to post in the rant that you realistically expect a 8-4 or 9-3 season next season, you're getting downvoted because that's how our fans are now. Would that be awesome to make the playoffs next year? absolutely. Is it realistic with a first year coach? No. But the rant will have thread after thread after next season questioning the BK hire. It's absurd.

His dad played RB at Assumption High then went to Southern, I believe, to play ball. He was a good back and was a good complement to Tommy Menuet.

I've never personally met them and I didn't bother following recruiting this year knowing we had a lame duck coach.

Supposedly mickey joseph told woodward that if he wasn't kept on staff kids would decommit.

Who, exactly, would decommit? Pretty sure we only have one WR commit right now, and that's Decoldest.

Early signing day is in 2 weeks. Hopefully he waits to February to commit.
