So, who's playing tomorrow in the exhibition? I don't know the rules for exhibitions, but other schools have been holding out players not cleared to play by the NCAA or by court order.
My best guess would be:
1. Dioubate
2. Bashir
3. Ugochukwu
4. Nunez
5. Bender
6. Dent - Under California TRO
7. Stansbury
8. Strake Pearson (according to some reports)
Not likely to play:
9. Clark - Kentucky injunction stayed by appeal court.
10. Luis - Because of Greg Sankey
11. Niang - Status with NCAA unclear
12. Ruzik - Status with NCAA unclear.
13. Dessert - Status with NCAA unclear.
14. Levy - Status with NCAA unclear.
15. ???
One good thing is we may find out if any of the internationals have been cleared. Would assume Levy and Ruzik are most likely to be cleared, just no indication of that has happened yet. I may be out of the loop, but I'm still not clear on who our 15th player is.

This seems positive for Ruzik. Haven’t done a deep dive, but league resumes look similar:

If I had to guess the 15th is probably just a walk on

Why wouldnt everyone play on the roster? NCAA doesnt care about exhibition games do they?

Not sure what the rule is there, but Will indicated he wasn’t playing guys that weren’t eligible yet.

Wade remains confident, but Luis doesn't fit into either of the groups mentioned, and Wade seems to be very specific with his wording.

This will be the group that suits up against McNeese

Agreed. He was very selective there. He's trying not to create problems. If the federal court in Alabama tosses the SEC's lawsuit, there's a potential path for Luis - not a great one - but a path nonetheless.

From the article:
Didn't one of these lose their case last week on appeal?
quote:
Also expected to play are fifth-year senior guards Skyy Clark and Donovan Dent, who each played at UCLA last season and won a court injunction as have many other athletes in all sports in various eligibility lawsuits against the NCAA.

Somewhat. The Court of Appeals in Kentucky issued a stay on the injunction during the appeal. So Clark is likely currently ineligible.
There is a lot of confusion on this. Clark and Dent were initially in the same lawsuit in California. Clark dismissed his claims in that suit and joined the 5 for 5 case in Kentucky. The Kentucky injunction has been stayed, while the California lawsuit kept the TRO in place for now (pending the resumption of the preliminary injunction hearing on October 20th).
I have zero confidence in GG getting this correct or having any inside information with the basketball program as to whether the school believes Clark is still covered by the California TRO.

Hell that article also say Dessert is playing

There is this interesting tidbit. Seems like it is newsworthy. Again, given the author of this article, I take it with a grain of salt.

Tiger Rag has learned that 6-11 freshman center commitment Brice Dessert of Pontoise, France, will play Thursday night. Dessert played for the Anadolu Efes pro team in Turkey last spring, averaging 8.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 17 games.

Just read on twitter Wade said that teammates of the internationals have gotten eligibility
Using chat gpt so take it fwiw:
For Dessert I found Enzo Shahrvin was a teammate of his and it looks like he got clear for Purdue
Niang- Apparently he and Quinn Ellis played on a team together
Ruzic- Abdramane Siby for Syracuse and Andrej Kostic at Kansas State

If he gets the international players cleared along with Dent, that becomes a very competitive team.
If you can eventually add Clark and Luis to that mix, this is an extremely competitive roster in year 1.

I understand why Luis is borderline at best.
But why is Clark an issue compared to everyone else? ....just simply bad luck on where his court proceedings are located? Or is there a point of contention different for him than the other hundred eligible

No live stream or play by play anywhere for tomorrow?

Because the NCAA got a favorable ruling from the Kentucky court of appeals, and he no longer has an active injunction allowing him to play. The NCAA has had some success overturning injunctions on appeal.
