This is a good sign for Ruzic. Hopefully, we get something on him very soon.
ETA: Another interesting NCAA clearance: Nathan De Sousa, who played in France's LNB Élite league, was cleared to play for Gonzaga. It appears this league paid less than the league Niang played in. It's estimated that Niang made about double what De Sousa made.

I don't think CJ has any legit sources in the program. His timeline is full of vague swings and misses.

2027 #9 PG (6’3, 175) Reese Alston has had two front runners emerge according to 247sports. LSU and Louisville are now “warmer” as of today. The rest of his top 7 — Houston, UK, Tennessee, Wichita State, and Vandy — are not.
He has said to plan on committing before November so hopefully a big hit is coming soon.

Muurinen now eligible for Arky. What’s that mean for our international guys?

Probably nothing.
Unlike Wade, John Calipari has never been in trouble with the NCAA. Also, Wade and Kiffin are single-handedly trying to ruin college sports...not like any of these other coaches who are signing "pros".
Come to think of it, I think Wade might have contacted this guy once in recruiting. The SEC will probably have to amend its Complaint against LSU to add those facts.

Anybody that wins big has a filthy program.
The Matt McMahon's of the world run squeaky clean ones.

Does anyone know or have any recruiting intel as it pertains to the 2027 High School Class? I know a few targets we are going after such as 5 star G Reese Alston, 5 star Wing Asa Montgomery, 5 star G King Gibson. I hope Wade at least gets 2 or 3.

McMahon also spent the first two years of his tenure while the athletic department including the football program were under major NCAA scrutiny. He was given strict orders not to do anything that would bring further negative attention to the athletic department for fear of institutional control charges being levied. Hence, the six year contract he was signed to in return.

Funny thing is, his second year at LSU was his best year. Let go, MM was dog shite.

You're 100% correct. We had liberal "men" running things at LSU who bent over and took the SELECTIVE enforcement doled out by the NCAA, and to whatever extent at the time, the SEC.
We don't have thst problem currently.

Great news for Ruzic. I don't think the NCAA is going after international players that are 18 or 19. They're going after the older guys

Gibson is on his OV this weekend. He’s currently at the A&M game.

Do you know how many we land?
Posted on 9/27/26 at 2:22 pm to LSUFan2700
We’re a frontrunner for Alston, who’s expected to commit sometime in October, CWW has had a great relationship with Gibson since NC State, and Montgomery had a great time on his visit.
We have a good chance of landing at least one or two of them. It’d be great to see all three end up at LSU though.

I want the next class to have 2-3 elite high school kids. The brain trust on X believes no one wants to play for Pear. They’ll find out soon enough.
