I think there's more rhubarb in this thread then actual post about MBB recruiting.

Not bickering at all but you can check his defensive metrics and see he ranks among LSUs best in some categories since those numbers have been kept (07-08). This isn’t among his teammates it’s an 18 year span. He ranks 3rd in block%, 5th in Box+\- and 2nd in defensive +/- among players with the minutes to qualify. Maybe he’s just better than you think.

You can search my posts all you want to and you won't find a negative comment about Wade either during his first stint or since his re-hire. I want him to be ultra successful and maybe win that elusive national championship banner to hang in the rafters of the PMAC.

Just because the overall record was not good does not mean the interior players under McMqahon have not developed well. If five did so and only oine was inconssitent the record says the coach did well in that aspect and Miller did not respond as well as others.Hehad his moments, but not consistently.

It is certainly understandable how difficult it is to focus on the current recruiting class being put together by new coach Will Wade. There is a certain segment on this board who cannot seem to refrain from inserting negative commentary about the former coach, despite the fact that he has been gone now for five months and has no connection or responsibility fo the current state of affairs for the basketball program. These people must have a villain to attack , its the oxygen which keeps them alive. Anyone presenting an alternative viewpoint is met with scorn and derision from the circle jerk group living in their own echo chamber.

Now to satisfy your need to know about the current recruits and makeup of the roster:

There are four signees from the portal which opened in April:

Mo Dioubate (Kentucky)- 8.8 ppg, 5.5 reb, 1.0 ast - defensive prowess
Divine Ugochukwu (Michigan State)- 5.1 ppg, 1.5 reb, 1.5 ast - gets a chance to run the show
Abdi Bashir Jr. (K-state)- 13.2 ppg, 2.2 reb, 2.3 ast - Bucket getter
Austin Nunez (UTSA)- 9.8 ppg, 2.1 reb, 2.8 ast - PG from a mid major program

There is one signee from the NBA G League who has not yet been cleard for eligibility by the NCAA:
RJ Luis Jr. (G-League Celtics)- St. John18.2 ppg, 7.2 reb, 2.0 ast - Former Big East POY

There are four foreign playes with whom there are deals in [;ace, Their eligibility has not been confirmed by the NCAA:

Marcio Santos ( International / Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv)- 7.3 ppg, 2.4 reb, 0.7 ast
Saliou Niang ( International / Virtus Bologna)- 7.9 ppg, 5.0 reb, 1.7 apg
Brice Dessert ( International / Anadolu Efes)- 7.2 ppg, 3.0 reb, 0.5 ast
Michael Ruzik (International / Joventut Badalona)- 6.7 ppg, 3.6 reb, 0.6 ast

There are reportedly several players in the group of fifth year seniors who have expressed interest in LSU. Their eligibility will ultimately be decided in a court of law, possibly by the Supreme Court.

Outsie of Bashir and Luis the rest of the players signed or with deals seem to have limited offensive prowess as none averaged double figures. That may be due to their lack of scoring ability or possibly playing on teams where they were not the primary offensive forces. Several are purpotebly defensive specialists. Hopefully any players signe from the fifth year group wil be offensive minded.

It is risky to have the eligibility of all but the early frour portal signees awaiting eligibility determination. The limited roster at present leave no room for injury even if all become eligible.

It will also be interesting to see how so many foreign players blend in with the much younger current transfers since they have been playing in leagues with different rules and customs than the NCAA. Wade has been successful at every stop and we hope that trend continues. He has been given all of the support needed and has an ample war chest to sign more players.

I don't initiate the commentary about the old regime, that is done quite often by you and your echo chamber buddies who cannot survive without your villain.
