You think Miller would for sure start over Nwoko? I know his numbers don't pop but he was the starting center for a much better team than us for a reason. I'm guessing he is a very solid defensive presence and rim protector. Is that not accurate?

I think it’s more of a projection on Miller’s development. His ceiling is very high and he showed a lot of promise down the stretch.
Plus Nwoko has not shown the ability to stay out of foul trouble so limiting his minutes while allowing him to play with max effort has to be considered.

Hall is definitely a guy , that if we have to, we should over pay for.
Dedan/hall/Miller/Reed/Collins/Nwoko
Would be strong 6 especially since I think dedan can make Collins and Nwoko even better.
Add a good 3 point shooter and hope one of givens or a freshman can provide good backup minutes.

legit threat from 3 with volume at a decent clip
I don't know if I'd go that far. He's capable of having good games from deep, but certainly not a consistent threat from there. He wasn't a particularly good defender either (though not bad). He's physical though. He can get to the rim and get to the FT line. Also, like you said, a solid rebounder from a "wing" spot.
The biggest thing is McMahon has to figure out how he wants to play. Do you want to be a high volume 3 point shooting team...like they were this year, with zero success? Do you want to be a physical attacking team? What do you want to be? Because one thing has been clear over the last three years. Whatever is the preordained approach, offensively and defensively, McMahon isn't adjusting it to any significant degree. Even if it isn't producing results.

Assume they’re a package deal. Takai looks decent. 37% from 3. Tajuan only shoots about 26% but im not gonna pretend i know much about the rest of his game.
I always find things like this interesting.
Identical twins with substantial variation.
Would suck to be the sucky twin.

Neither twin is "sucky" both are good players. Yes one shoots the 3 much better and averages about 1.8pts more a game but the other twin is slightly taller (listed height) and is slightly better in every other stat including rebounding, ast, stl, blk, ft %, and lower TO. Here are their stat lines
TK Simpkins 16.4 pts 3.1 rb 2.6 ast 1.1 stl 0.3 blk 2.5 TO 75.6/42.3/36.7
TJ Simpkins 14.6 pts 3.8 rb 2.9 ast 1.6 stl 0.4 blk 2.2 TO 81.8/40.8/26.3
Very similar players not some huge variation in twins. 3pt shooting is the only real difference and advantage for the first brother listed. Without knowing much about their games if the 2nd brother listed who is an inch taller is even a slightly better defender their value is dead even

Both are avg to mid. They have EM rankings of 778 & 1099 and neither rates out well on defense. For reference, that would put them in the bottom half of this seasons Lsu roster and two of the worst defenders on the team.

Gehrig Normand was a four-star recruit who redshirted but barely played this season. He may have been processed.

Another never heard of team/conference. Can he adapt to sec level play ? So far, McDummys recruits have not… with the exception of a couple
Posted on 4/2/25 at 10:44 am to tigersham
McM loves his 30% 3-point shooting guards.

Good signing. Can score and has some size to allow for position and lineup flexibility.

Rashad King is a bit of head scratcher unless he is just being brought in for depth.

He's the #79 overall player in the portal and is 6'6 205. Unless we way overpaid there's no reason to dislike this signing. We need scoring.

Portal rankings are mostly worthless. At the end of the season he was ranked 1,101 on EM.

His stats are average, and he doesn't look elite in his highlights, so I hope they didn't spend much on him.

I was reading a tweet that said he was a pretty good defender not sure though, and he isn't a great 3 point shooter but he also isn't too bad. Hopefully he is a guy coming off the bench for us or more of the 5th option type.

18 6 and 3 is not average lmfao and his highlights are good
