Is there a single other school in the state considered an lsu pipeline at this point?
Any school in Southwest La.

Laffy and Lake Charles. Those kids seem to flock to LSU.

I've spent more than a few afternoons around Marcus within the last year while he has been at lab and I would always see him and his kid decked out in lsu stuff and I have yet to hear a story about how awesome it was playing for saban.

To think this guy is steering kids to bama because of saban love is laughable.

I don't want to be negative....but to me all Randall was doing was saying what he knows everyone in Louisiana wants to hear. I didn't expect him to come out and say he pushes players to Bama. I want LSU to get all of the good players sounds much better from a guy that lives in Louisiana

The best thing a high school coach can do for his players is to get them exposed to as many college opportunities as possible and let the player and his family choose his destination. If the coach has peculiar insight into a given program he should provide it when requested in an objective and honest manner. Coach Randall played for Saban and played at LSU. He can relate on how it is playing for Saban and he can also present the privelege of wearing the purple and gold and playing in Tiger Stadium.

Remember 3 years ago when Hootie played this game when we were all over Jamal Adams. They were trying to get us to turn our attention back to Hootie and piss off Jamal....Be on the lookout for a Saban Rope-a-dope

He's done it before, he'll do it again

This is why Will Ignont is at TN. We were holding out false hope for Moses and he said OK, I'll go where I'm wanted
I had the same thought/worry. I think there is two 'outs' here though in regards to continuing to try for Allen:
1. We're looking for more than one LB and doubt Allen would drive another recruit away.

2. We're not at risk for being 'Womacked' on this one because, firstly, it appears Allen is not an EE and secondly, at least for now, we're not contacted him in a dead period based on FA papers.

God we need him so badly. The players love Bama but don't realize they're being used as pawns to hurt Bama's biggest rival.

I think Coach Randall is doing a great job at Southern Lab.

He has a keen football mind.

He ran a team under NS and did a good job.

I want this LSU Tiger ON OUR SIDE.........I hope Allen wants LSU too.

God bless them ALL..........

But the lure of a new Dodge Challenger or Charger may be too much,

people should maybe keep in mind that Randall didnt just play for LSU, he was born in BR, he went to Glen Oaks, his brother was the QB at Southern, now he's at Lab, he was at Scotlandville before that.

the guy is Louisiana through and through, i dont think hes gonna betray all that just for a few years as a part time starter under Saban.

Amen to that. What greater indicator can there be of his affection for LSU than staying in-town and paying his taxes here? Is it really believable to any rational person that MR would be some sort of snake in the grass double-agent for a guy who coached him a couple of seasons, fifteen years ago? That's some bizarre, conspiratorial, magical thinking.

About the comment that Saban is working to replace Randall, many believe Saban has experience doing that at St. Aug. not too many years ago.

Through the Burns family, he installed the stepdad of one of his players as the HC at Aug in an effort to sway Fournette's decision.

Crutchfield, huh? Yeah, he was canned soon after Fournette's decision.

And if he said he wanted Allen to go to Bama, you'd believe him right? Do you normally choose the negative view in life?

You're a perfect example of a fan not knowing how recruiting works from the perspective of the recruit!

Enlighten us all on how it works then.

Thanks for the help, ProjectP2294!

I was trying to recall the particulars, as I remembered seeing posts about this at that time.
