As I’ve posted before, if they put the full court press on every member of the class, they would probably flip 75% of them.

Reading between the lines, it certainly sounds like a money situation. Makes my blood boil.

Hell of an athlete. Raymond loves him. Would take him without Dean, but it sure as hell doesn't hurt.

Jones is one of the most athletic DB prospects in the class. Not a ton of film because he plays QB for his team.

Sounds like the coaching staff didn't miss a beat.

O needs to up his recruiting game. Look, Saban will get almost anyone he wants. But he can’t take them all. It’s up to O to figure out the game and play it to get the best in La and best of the rest in the area

Eta- this is not a knock on O. Just saying that almost every coach in America has the same problem with Saban.

I refuse to sell my soul for football and it sounds like O is doing the same. We pounded Smart this weekend, who by all reports has taken to the same “methods” of recruiting.

If y'all remember, I made mention of him possibly flipping to A&M a while back, but we were able to shut that down. Needless to say, we didn't this time. So, it isn't like we were already somewhat aware that he was shopping... I mean looking... Around. We've had our eyes on other prizes, too. Don't get me wrong, the kid is good, but this isn't like losing a Surtain at the buzzer. His spot will be filled.

Other names that LSU is eyeing to add to this class include 3-star Mississippi athlete Raydarious Jones and 4-star Louisiana cornerback Chester Kimbrough.

This is from Spieg’s piece on the decommit. LSU trying to poach Kimbrough?

We currently have 2 First team Mid-season All-Americans in the secondary, coming off the biggest win for the program in years.... and "I need to do what's best for me and my family."

Look, child, just act like a man and say you don't want to go to LSU and want to go to Alabama. That's okay. What I can't take is a person who makes a "commitment" then gives some wishy-washy BS of a reason to decommit.

Well if the kid was looking around that much maybe he needed to go.

When do you hear about a bama player having academic issues or losing any significant playing time because of disciplinary issues?

FBI needs to hop on them after their basketball affair.

Well it's not technically illegal for boosters to pay players. Unethical maybe but I don't even agree with that. These guys should get paid something.

Kimbrough is a guy we've kind of had on the back burner to circle back to if need be, but Jones is who Raymond really likes is what I was told.

I don’t know why, but this upsets me more than most simply because LSU found a diamond in the rough. He was an unheralded 3* when he was offered. He has blown up since he committed.

However, his commitment had been shaky. He jumped on the first big offer, and hasn’t been solid since others have entered the picture.

What an idiot... I will never understand how the NCAA can't see something real shady is going on over there at Bama???

I mean LSU is the place to be for DBs and it shows every year. LSU just whipped the #2 team all over the field. I think we had too many corners committed anyway but I didn't want to lose this kid. He's the second best corner we have. We are the school that put him on the map. So tired of LSU putting these kids on the map then they ditch us like that.

I would rather fill his spot with another DLman or OT. That's what this team needs anyway. Our staff can find DBs anywhere at anytime. If our DL is elite then we could just add an average guy and be fine. Stack these lines the frick up.

And seriously LSU, New Orleans, Monroe, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Baton Rouge all have plenty of dough. We need our own damn bag men but spend the effort specifically on the LOS, QB and LB. The rest we will get and be fine. It's time we start playing with them also. Let it happen behind the scenes where the staff doesn't know but does kinda thing. What could they actually do? It's time to get creative where it's needed.

You can't compete with what's going on without applying our own techniques. Plenty of people would be willing and able. Just keep it low key. Get the best lawyers to read the rules and make loop holes. Play around the rules. It can be done OBVIOUSLY! It's past time.
