Zero chance Kelly thought he was a TE. If we end up signing Sampson, Brown, Parker, and one more WR, all is well and this won’t matter. Hopefully, it pushes some of Bama’s receivers down the depth chart and makes them unhappy. I’m looking at Jojo Earle, Shazz Preston, Aaron Anderson, and Kendrick Law.

That story sounds fake AF.
Who gets that upset about a coach mentioning you as a TE.
If he really wanted to come here he could have pulled CBK aside and said “were you mistaken? Or do you really want me at TE?”
Also TE is a big position in todays offenses

Yeah, I think Benson made that up. I don't believe that story at all. Just more negative recruiting from Saban.

I’m kinda in the camp of it’s not impossible that he misspoke, but it would surprise me if a guy as detail oriented as Kelly would slip like that. Just seems far fetched.

Assuming it’s true, if he made a decision based on some minor slip up like that, he was never going to come to LSU anyway.
I’m fine with giving this kid less attention at this point. I’m more interested in the couple of 5* WRs were pushing hard for right now.

Yea Kelley has always been known to like his TE’s around 5’10” (maybe 6’ Tops) & definitely sub-200 lbs.
