I know Koy Moore and Boutte talked about doing it. Not sure if it was the whole room or just them, would seem that Mangas laid it out for all of them to do

Which freshman do you like to be the most impactful this year. I’m thinking Deion Smith and Chris Hilton may have the best shot, but it will be interesting to see.

I’m going with Sage, Maason, and Deion.

It really could be any of the 5.

Hilton has always been in my top 2 to make an impact. I want to see a few more days of fall camp.

Deion smith is so damn smooth. Brian thomas is going to make an impact too.

Deion Smith is my favorite. Hilton can be good too if he continues to recover from his injury.

Receiver wise, don’t sleep on koy Moore . Idk why nobody agrees with me on this . You need to rewatch if you don’t think he’s a great player

Yeah, I like Moore as well. Forgot to mention him but he will be in their with the other three veterans. Don’t see him as a deep target but is good over the middle in short to intermediate routes.

Moore has sure hands and will catch the ball but he can't really get any separation

I’m with you about separation but he has experience and knowing the offense will keep him in the mix early in the slot. He’s not a liability like Giles was in 2018.

Did they even do the 10,000 catches?

DJ Mangas said in one of his interviews, I think it was the one with Cody Worsham, that the summer of 10,000 catches was definitely coming back and was in fact already under way at that time.

DJ Dale - NT - started 10 games
B Young - DE - started five games
J Eboigbe - DE - started two games
S Lee - LB - started 13 games
C Harris - LB - started 12 games
J Battle - DB - started four games

dale, lee, harris and battle started VS LSU. Four TrFr are the most that started any single game.

You do realize that bama's '19 "D" gave up fewer points and yards per game that the '20 national championship defense.

They weren’t good though, neither was last years. Think baseball, how did that turnout with the frosh being our only good players.

It’s not a good thing to rely on one single class for a lot of starters

And let’s take a look at how that stat is complete fool’s gold. Alabama played FCS school Western Carolina. and schools with final offenses that statistically ranked 110, 108, 105, 97, 93, 82, 81, and 74. That’s 9 games to pad the stats. Between LSU, Auburn, South Carolina, and A&M, they gave up an average of 35 per game. Ole Miss was the 81st ranked D, A&M was 62nd, and South Carolina was 105. Auburn was 28. Then they played that vaunted Michigan offense in a bowl game. This was a poor defense by Alabama standards, even though they were loaded with the top recruits in the country.

Again, people confuse starting first play of game vs. who sees most snaps at the position , it’s semantics. Any I stand by my statement that it is good to have Freshman with talent enough that once they arrive on campus, they are difference makers. Probably on the National stage, they are only 20-30 players who can do this yearly. I personally want our share here. Bottom line- we getting more than our fair share.
