good for oluchi! she prolly would have been coming off the bench again all year since ashlon and taina arent going anywhere! she's a little out of control but she could take all that energy and be a good fit at tennessee.
bad for duke. had they been able to keep everyone, they could have made a deep run in the 2026 tourney.

that said, i hope we dont blow the budget on serah williams. i still dont get the hype around her, but i guess because she was one of the first to portal with a few accolades attached to her name, everyone had to have her! i would likely assume jersey bolted because more than likely we will end up with williams.
Williams is legit, 6'4 incredibly athletic strong and has a perimeter game
She'll be in the WNBA, a critical piece to the puzzle for LSU next season, but they'll add another big besides her too shortly

Just passing along what I’ve heard. I’m not sure she’d even consider a visit unless it was really enticing. None of those bigs are as athletic as she is—she’d thrive in that conference, no doubt.
That said, given the source, I’m not totally sold on how legit the info is.
Although, to be fair, he did coach her AAU team, so there might be something to it. We shall see.

Williams would be a huge get, but her former HC at Wisky was an assistant under Geno for 10 years i read.
If Kim/staff could pull Williams, that’d be major..

Averaged damn near a double-double all three years of her career. Not too shabby

Never heard of her but her numbers are good .
Maybe she is the big that will be announced soon.

She also put up 25 and 10 on SC this season

I’m assuming we get her, and Williams from the portal on top of Koval and have Knox to round out our bigs.
Knox looked impressive today in the Nike hoop summit and I think she will get some good minutes in her first year

6'5 Koval
6'4 Williams
6'2 Knox
6'2 Joyner
Knox is legit, once she becomes more aggressive and assertive on offense she'll be a monster. She was considered one of the best rebounding players in her class outside of Sienna Betts and she plays pretty good D, I'd expect her to get a good chunk of minutes year 1.

Hopefully your assumption is correct.

Just saw Cunningham to Texas . I was wondering if LSU was after her.

Sa’myah committed to Virginia.

Good luck to Samyah. She had a chance go to a Final 4/natty at LSU. But at UVA, no chance. They have only been to NCAA tournanent 1X in 15 years (2018). This is a surprising decision.

Lattimore’s replacement? Best of luck to her, and can appreciate the contributions.

I think Smith was trying to secure a payday, and honestly, I can’t blame her. After two surgeries, the window is closing, and she knows it. She was smart to try and capitalize on that tournament performance while the spotlight was still on her—strike while the iron's hot, right?
When you've been playing this game your entire life, and you're staring down the possibility that the W might not be in the cards, it makes sense to see who’s willing to pay for the skill set you’ve built. This isn’t just about chasing a dream anymore—it’s about making the most of your moment before it slips away.
Wouldn’t be surprised if she landed somewhere in the $500K range. It all makes sense. Sometimes you’ve got to bet on yourself when the clock’s ticking.

No way Smith is getting a 500K NIL deal. That just seems far fetched for a women’s basketball player of Smith’s caliber.

dont forget alex ohanian (founder of reddit) just donated a huge chunk of money to the virginia women's basketball program. LINK
they have ZERO freshmen coming in. and sa'myah is only their 2nd portal pick up. so yeah, theyve got money to burn.

Baylor people said they offered Smith $300k NIL $$ but obviously she didn't take it. Seems logical UVA would offer her $500k NIL. Serena Williams' husband (Ohanian, a UVA alum) gave UVA WBB millions NIL $$ for multiple years. It was UVA's 2nd largest gift for women's sports. Hoping a multi-millionaire will also gift millions to LSU WBB NIL. Kim will find them.
