What, Amani in transfer portal? Thought she graduated with no eligibility left?
Posted on 4/16/25 at 9:44 am to LSUVT
I honestly thought both her and Poa were out of eligibility. Did they not play enough this year for it to count?

Poa got an extra year due to the change with JUCO eligibility.
Amani must’ve been able to claim a year as a redshirt due to her battling injuries/not playing in enough games.
anyways she pretty much didn’t show anything her 4 years due to not really getting playing time, so she must want to go to a much smaller program and try and get her masters which I can’t blame her for one bit

i think she could have an excellent career in sports media ahead of her, if she wanted.

Amani never done medical redshirt so NCAA must have approved some kind of special extra year for her, but don't know what that could be. She was good team player, very well liked by teammates and coaching staff. She was good for morale and locker room. A lot of mutual love and respect between her and Kim.

She could be a grad transfer too right?
Posted on 4/16/25 at 8:01 pm to TigerCub
Don't know. She came after covid supposedly no more 5th year. She didn't do medical redshirt. Thought once you graduated that was it, like Aneesah with no eligibility left.

Anyone heard anything about Del Rosario? I know she visited Va Tech this past weekend. Wish her the best, hope she gets on a good team and becomes a starter.
Vanderbilt is maybe an option too.

Supposedly Serah Williams was on campus yesterday , I have a feeling she goes to UCONN with a former coach of hers on staff. I wonder who the backup plan or plans are?
As of now , only 3 bigs on the roster.

You have a feeling huh? What former coach of hers is presently on the UCONN staff? Just asking for a friend..

so, marisa moseley, who was serah's head coach at wisconsin was an assistant coach at uconn 2009-2018. she then coached at boston universtiy before landing at wisconsin.
to my knowledge, she is currently not back on that staff at uconn.

Moseley is not on Uconn staff. She resigned at Wisconsin. Allegations of mental abuse and unfair treatment. Because she resigned (not fired), she is unable to coach for 2 years.

Williams is still on campus today and Flaujae came back to be apart of her visit.
Supposedly LSU is the favorite, followed by UNC and then UCONN. she hasn’t visited UCONN yet, but it’s scheduled for after.
also update on Okot…she’s most likely headed to SC as Dawn got her a deal for 150k. apparently no commitment yet because they are working on her admissions to the school first

ADR is likely to commit to Virginia Tech, but it’s down to them and Vandy.
Fulwiley is setting her first visit to Vandy and nothing set with LSU as of yet

okot, shes an international student. from kenya, no? how can dawn get her nil money? or is it disguised as something else? with all that's going on with the current administration's obsession with foreign students, she's the last person that should be trying to loophole anything. it took her 4 tries to get a US visa. that said.... there's supposedly issues with her current visa. which is another reason there's been no announcement about her new school.
Posted on 4/17/25 at 4:39 pm to gphilli
No, generally cannot get NIL since she is international student on F1 Visa. She could get $$ from the sale of tshirts/jerseys thru LSU, and possibly Sig Sports for international students. But there are strict limitations, she has to be careful. It's a US Immigration issue, not NCAA issue. Remember Poa sued US Immigration to receive NILs? She lost her case. So I don't know how SC able to get $150K NILs for Okot, she is in same boat as Poa.

Well, Dawn’s funding source is from USAID so anything is possible for her.
