You dont lose to Kentucky or Vandy and youre the highest 2 seed maybe even a 1 seed and your road is easier making your chances of making the final four higher. Duke was the best 3 seed and a lot better than a lot of the 2 seeds.

We were the highest two seed in this past tournament.

Kim said that at a press conference assuming. But if you look at the draw we were not. Plus how would be ahead of Vandy if they beat us head to head.

It's communist Russia and it takes longer to bring in athletes compared to other countries (after invasion of Ukraine). They don't have in-country visa processing. Visa services in Russia were suspended, forcing applicants to travel to 3rd world countries to get appointments in Kazakhstan, Armenia, Serbia, Thailand. US State Dept heightened and tightened rules for Russian citizens, increasing vetting times. As of 2026, there are only 4 Russians playing in Ncaa wbb, compared to Spain (163), Canada (149), Australia (113).

*Correction: Only 2 Russian WBB players in Ncaa coz the 4 were for 2025-2026. Guessing the other 2 went on to play pros. As of now only 2 for 2026-2027 (one is at UNC). LSU would make it 3.

Sira Thienou the transfer out of Ole Miss would have been ideal too. She is much taller and she is a good 3 point shooter.

Thought so too, have she signed anywhere yet?

What is up with Mulkey and the influx of international players?

I read somewhere that it had something to do with cheaper NIL deals, I can’t remember exactly what, but it had something to do with international rules.

When Vandy lost to Ole Miss in the SEC tournament, it knocked them below us. LSU was the highest two seed in the NCAA tournament pairings.

Unless something has changed international students that are here on a visa can't earn money from NIL. During her last year here Poa was suing the gov't to try to collect NIL money

Don't forget to add Yarnevich, 6'2" forward.

I love Meg and think she should get more minutes, but Meg is not 6'2" she more like 6'0", but she's a wide body with real good feet and nice low post moves.

Yeah, I really wish that lie would go away. She is a solid 6 footer, who still can make some productive stuff happen.

Samyah Smith committed to Oklahoma. Will be an interesting game this season, see how LSU plays against Samyah.
