I somewhat agree with First Cut. Only returners from previous year are Redoutey and Coffey who have just done what they've done previously--hit well. But Bergeron is the one glaring point: Either the new hitting coach has had an impact or simply the fact that she's had two full years of playing to adapt is reflecting this year--Likely a little of both in my view.
The rest I think has a lot to do with the athleticism of the new players in the lineup too.

Tiger fans are funny, they are hitting better because this team is far more athletic? So if Dobson was still here they would have been doing the same thing? If the production declines did their athleticism go backward? Nah, likely it’s a combination of several factors, new training, more athletic, new approach at the plate, different swing path..it’s likely all of these factors imo

We used to have one for a long time, but last year when all were hidden during football signing week, softball wasn't added back. I've asked several times l, but talking to admins here is like talking to The Great Wall...

I don't think talent is the real issue. We have had talent. Something else is missing. This program will always be a wait till next year program unless you
make cultural changes and that starts at the top.

What do you know about Madison Walker from Missouri? Can she play 3B?
I see she only hit .244, but had 18 HR's.
I'm thinking we get her or Kylee Edwards from Miss. St. to play 3b.

Just looking at her numbers she had a pretty bad OBP. .288 was worst on the team for regulars. She has just 9 walks in 276 abs and we were all about getting on base this season. I'm sure part of that was because of the lack of power but feels like even with her power that kind of eye at the plate puts a ceiling on her.

Yeah, but if Bryce can "coach her up" to hit .280 with 22 hr's, I would take it in a heartbeat.

well right after she entered the portal, she instantly started following a bunch of LSU’s coaching staff and pages so I think if coach Torina wants her at 3B, and she is willing to play 3B, we get her.

Kylee Edwards has committed to LSU. Shortstop for State who started 100+ games and .280 career average. She also hit 9 homers last season as a sophomore. Another solid pickup.
Also I was bored and checked out Neal’s twitter. He sure seems to really like being at LSU for the few on here who harp constantly about how badly he wants out
