I somewhat agree with First Cut. Only returners from previous year are Redoutey and Coffey who have just done what they've done previously--hit well. But Bergeron is the one glaring point: Either the new hitting coach has had an impact or simply the fact that she's had two full years of playing to adapt is reflecting this year--Likely a little of both in my view.

The rest I think has a lot to do with the athleticism of the new players in the lineup too.

Tiger fans are funny, they are hitting better because this team is far more athletic? So if Dobson was still here they would have been doing the same thing? If the production declines did their athleticism go backward? Nah, likely it’s a combination of several factors, new training, more athletic, new approach at the plate, different swing path..it’s likely all of these factors imo
