Oh, I am sooooo with you!!! No brainer to leave her in but several folks whined about her lack of power and only being a slapper and the program moving away from slappers, which is very true as the hitting coach openly doesn't like slappers. Makes no sense to me, as Daniel has proven herself in my view but that is absolutely the trend of the program.

Now what happens after that move is anyone's guess!! Hodge stays on the field in my view but is that at 3B or at 2B. Does Daniel stay on field at 2B? Does McKee come back to 2B? But I think they'll add at least 3 more position players--and add more questions.

Good sized kid that is solid defensively. Hit .290 with 9 HRs so a little pop added. Interesting to see does she slide over in Coffey's vacated spot or does she threaten a MIF position.....

Pitching roster as of now looks like Heavener who is top end pitching followed by Clopton and now CeCe. Freshmen class has 3 pitchers in it (Deal, Mowery, and Soeken). That's 6 arms on roster. Unless they carry 7 this may be the full battery for next year.

You idiot, I don't care how the freshmen are doing. But I'd guess about as well as any other freshmen who doesn't play at all--not doing anything. Watching portal news, and they haven't popped up yet but probably waiting until after the world series like a lot of them do is my guess since none have shown up unless they aren't marketable after a year of cheering.

There is ZERO chance Berzon leaving was "mutual". And as atypical of a performance as she had this season (sounding like due to injuries) I will bet that she will shine next season. Let's just see how she does at Ms State or OU. Guessing that's where she will land. Gasso's trend has been to grab the top pitcher in the portal the last 4 years and it's worked out well for her so why change??

Absolutely true. It's seems like a common trend in the program. But with the portal now being far more prominent the times may allow for more success. Development doesn't have to be the strength of a program and playing young players isn't an issue if it is par for the course to find more seasoned talent developed elsewhere.
I'd suspect a big roster turn this year. 3 already in portal and I would guess more coming. Would be surprised if at least 5 kids developed at other programs aren't brought in this summer. Maybe that will be the winning formula for LSU. Losing Berzon doesn't help at all though.

Yep! AND that just beat the #1 seed! performing against the same top competition. But KK has played against top competition (including eliminating the team that swept LSU) and performed well all year.

Who is they? I’ve given Beth Torina shite for years not firing Howard Dobson. All I said is that no one is contemplating firing her which is true. I didn’t say anything about this being the best LSU can be.
The program has new life with Neal and good classes in 25 and 26 are on the way. Both pitchers and 5/9 starters are coming back. The program is in a good place.
Probably should have said Beth instead of "they". That reply was to "why start Berzon"--Not sure what you mean with the rest of your post. Only point was that Beth likely started Berzon because she sees the importance of this game.

What ON EARTH are you talking about?! I know i should not engage you but I guess this forum is for name-calling. I usually do like everyone else and ignore you but you're making no sense here. And yes you're right several people know me who post here because I've met them. I assume you are thinking I am Jones or Daniels dad given your previous posts although I saw you accuse others of that too, which makes me wonder what you odd fixation is with them--especially that Jones kid. First clue: I am not african american and not young enough to have a 18 year old---Then again yes I am, I just don't have Bill Belichik's luck (wife doesn't read this forum :-)). Hopefully, you know who I am and you come up and introduce yourself if you make it to another game I'm at (too hot out there today)---I'll be there tomorrow if that helps. I am assuming Tigers win 2 today. I just hope these kids' parents are not on this forum which I doubt because I wouldn't be able to stomach some of the chatter as a parent, and I'm guilty myself.

People can defend her but even Paul went to the finals in 2017 with a great pitching performance and was forced out in 2021.
Guilty as one of those that defended her, but agree that facts you state don't lie, AND I think Dobson is scapegoated by too many.

Fremin would be a solid choice in the very unlikely event the Tigers make a coaching change. Actually, don't think Neal would be a very good head coach at all. He seems to be a solid hitting coach but leading a team is not his strong suit. He has some baggage in Louisville and the culture issues on the Tigers team is not all on Beth. Fremin on the other hand proves time and time again his ability to lead, motivate and galvanize teams--and--as others point out--with less talent. That SLU team out-performs their roster talent every year.
Think SLU will give NB a run for their money but ultimately I think the Tigers face UConn then SLU in a rematch before seeking to double-dip NB (Bahl) on Sunday. The hope is that we have 2 aces and NB only has Bahl (that other kid throws hard but no movement at all) so the first game would be key to win. Tigers can do it, but sheesh they made it a WHOLE LOT harder by dropping that first game.
