Professional contract. What is NIL? Nothing but pay to play and professional sports.
Stop the lie called college is amateur sports.

It is compression pants. Supposed to help athletes recover faster or something like that. My son's cross country team has a few pairs of them.

I'm not so sure this one sticks. Unlike, the international players, Luis already played college basketball. This is more in the Charles Beadiko realm, which ultimately didn't work out.

Obviously, LSU knows more than we do on this issue. But I'm not optimistic he will be eligible.

Yeah I can't see him being eligible. What I don't understand is the guy that was in the Army in Israel. I thought military service was one of the waivers allowed to eligible?

He did, he is joining LSU after his most recent stint with the Celtics organization.

Military waivers are quickly disappearing. So are "hardship" waivers. You get 5 years to play 5 seasons. If you get injured & lose a year you aren't getting it back. No more redshirt seasons. Mormon missions may be an exception. There won't be many of those.

Seems to me if missing time for religious purposes is allowed, military service too would be a no brainer. Imagine the optics if one allowed one and not the other...

Probably fine for him either way. We’ll (name and image advertisement buyers, of course) pay more than G League for him to work out and chill in his apartment while awaiting eligibility decision.

He was never ruled ineligible. Also, I agree. As far as I'm aware he would have been ruled eligible based on that. Some people keep pushing that he made x amount of money making him ineligible but I'm not aware of that being the main factor in other eligibility denials in practice.

Hope you are right. Iam just looking forward to watching LSU basketball again. It's been a tough four years.

Not sure we're going to have a great season this year, but I have hope with more time to build his roster, Wade will have us very competitive Year 2 and beyond.
