Yep and in social media All these guys know each other and see the talk, videos, shorts, and believe me WH saw it. He thought this kid is 15 and is ON HIS WAY to take over. So me and Daddy thought let me get my No Chest Arse out of here immediately!

They kind of did.

He is somewhat of a modern day Todd Marinovich type.

Seems like this kid loves the extreme training to be an elite QB...unlike Todd.

Same here redfish. Cannot wait to go watch him play a little high school ball next year and report back. They have taken a very organized approach to his development. His legs though were the first thing I ever noticed. Thick was my word also.

They grow this kid in a lab? Who watched that Marinovich 30 for 30 as an instructional video?

I’m not trying to take away from Hurley but this is what the QB position had become. They start early & are getting highly specialized training from a young age.

Now most Soph HS QBs are not pushing these kinda weights but they are doing other things with throwing coaches & such

I have been negative about the qb coach he uses because he pushes kids going for a year somewhere then seeing what they can get. But he is around a lot of qb’s from all levels of football high school to pros. They definitely know the game and the game of recruiting. I just hope Florida does not fire Napier and pull in some stud qb guy and flip him. I think though his parents will make him stick to his word. Seems like that stuff is very important to them.

That’s RIDICULOUSLY strong for a kid that young. Reminds me of how strong Jalen Hurts was at that age.

Not when they are on the ground at the bottom of the squat. That’s the point. But you don’t get to say you squatted the full weight of the chains.

I'm no expert, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that didn't look like the best form on the deadlift. Looks like he's lifting more with his back than his legs.

I see that you are getting down voted a bit, but you are actually correct.

I’m a sports medicine physician, and I’ve worked with athletes at every level. Also, I was a two time collegiate national champion powerlifter at Louisiana Tech.

Look, I’m not dogging on Hurley. I’m extremely excited that LSU is getting him. He’s a great athlete and seems insanely mature and intelligent for his age. I think he’ll be a brilliant leader and an exceptional QB for LSU. Watching his form, he needs a little polishing with his footwork, and at times, he gets a little lazy with his delivery and ends up slinging the ball closer to a 45 degree angle vs strait over the top. But these are small things that they’ll easily clean up once at LSU.

But yes, I’m this video, he’s using wayyy too much back in his deadlift.

He's not deadlifting to enter a powerlifting competition he's dead lifting to increases strength particularly back strength. He does squats to increase leg strength.

Sure, I understand that. If he were competing, I’d switch him to a “sumo” stance. At any rate, he’s still using way too much back.

Pretty sure he's from Florida. Does he play any games near Sarasota, Venice, Fort Myers or Naples? If so, I will be there in my Tiger garb repping...

He'll be 16 if he's an EE. Turns 17 next march.

Impressive for a 15 year old.

On the flip side, hope he doesn't hurt his back. I'm no expert, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that didn't look like the best form on the deadlift. Looks like he's lifting more with his back than his legs.

Kid is 15 and has been being trained to play qb by legit people. Person on discussion board says he don’t like what he’s seeing. There we have it folks, Hurley will be a bust probably from injury.

As a sophomore Hurley threw the ball 61 mph. Patrick Mahomes tied the nfl record of 60mph at the combine. Dudes gonna sling it and I can’t wait to see it.
