Yea physically, this kid is a freak. 6'2 225 going into his sophomore year. I see him being a LB at the next level.
Regardless of who he favors, we need to start giving him a lot of attention and the "spa" treatment. IMO, hes the top player in the state for 2016. But, I only know of a few players in the 2016 class so far. So if there is somebody ahead of him, please enligten me. Because from what ive seen and read about White, he seems to be the cream of the crop when it comes to physicality, size, speed, and overall athleticism. Also, cant forget the fact hes a strong student and hard worker too.
Plus, I love the potential versatility we are getting. Yes, hes 6'2 220ish at the moment. He could stay that size and get stronger, or he can add 2 more inches and some weight and be an absolute monster at LB. Either way, Im happy.

There's an epidemic on this board. People "in the know" will post that a recruit is BAMA lean or is favoring BAMA since they had contact with Saban. It never fails. Ever.
There was one the other day about either Guice or Brossette was a BAMA lean and it was going to be a dogfight.
Of course, that poster was "in the know."
So, I'm just going to beat people to the punch.

Devin's father is about 6'5-6'6. Look for this kid to grow at least two more inches.
He's camping at Bama next month....look for another SEC offer.

What are the cliff notes on him?
Good student. Not a behavioral problem. Obviously a physical speciman, especially considering his young age. I only missed one NWHS game last year. Last year, as a 14 year old freshman, he was a "man amongst boys" on the field. I've seen a lot of high school football and high school football players through the years; he's the best freshman speciman I've ever seen. This school year is his first year of year round training. Plays hard and likes to hit. Has good speed, especially for his size. Has nice hands. As young as he is, teammates look to him as a leader. At this time, I see him as more of a LB than a RB. Has got a LOT of upside. Don't know whether he has any interest in Bama or not, but will check it out.

Damn he looks to be one of the top LBs in the nation by the time his junior season is up. If he's already this good in his coverage skills, look out.

Don't shoot the messenger, guys, but I'm from North Webstervilletown and he is going out of state. It makes my town seem more important to say that while the one kid with skills from it is being recruited.

“Alabama, Florida State, Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisiana Tech are the other schools so far,” White said. “I’m going to camp at Baylor, Louisiana-Lafayette, Alabama, Florida State and come back to LSU in July again. But I will admit that LSU has been my dream school ever since I was 10 years old.”
LSU has the best shot at him depending on when Saban comes calling and how that goes, but what I love is that Evangel can't steal him from us because he is already too high profile.

Could y'all imagine he and fournette on the field at the same time. No one would score on that defense

This might end up being a great story.
The Springhill Lumberjacks were a traditional 2A power for many years and just went to shite in an unimaginable way in the 2000's all of the sudden for whatever reason depending on the source.
The Springhill Lumberjacks were dissolved as part of a highly contested and locally dramatic consolidation and the high school became North Webster High School. In it's second year, even having to play in the division of Calvary and Evangel, it found it's legs for the first time in years and it took John Curtis to put them down in the playoffs.
This is the third year.
Now, the school might have the second best player in the country and he's only gonna be a junior.
It's gonna be fun to watch.
He is gonna grow too tall to be an RB, but if he hit's 6' 3" or 6'4" and retains his athleticism, he is gonna be an amazing defensive end INHO.
