Don’t think we need a cb unless he’s a bonafide starter

If we’re just trying to add a body I think we have enough

You have 9 cbs already

Yeah figured it was high number. I expect at least 1 to hit portal after Spring game. If multiple enter I could see us going for cb in portal.

I like that he has dependents counting on him. He would basically be playing his last year in college for a pro contract possibility. Highly motivated, plus good coaching, in a high profile league, equals quality add to ou D.

Yes, How many you think they try to add in the trenches on defensive side?

Trenches on DL, we need min. 2 experienced starters, but I would try to get 3-4 as we need that many.

Current depth for DT and NT we have only the following 5: Guillory 320, Jalen Lee 308, Dom McKinley 285, Shone Washington 305, DeMyrion Johnson 295. The only true NT is Guillory but Shone and J. Lee can also play the NT position. I would bring in Kimo M. 310 from the OL to play NT so out of the 4 we can rotate 2-3 to keep fresh during a game.

For DT I think Dom McK. will need to be ready playing at 290-295, or if we get Blee That (Philip Blidi 295), he would probably start inside next to Guillory. Also, Saivion Jones lost a step last year so add another 10 lbs. and move him to DT at 6'6 290. I would also bring in a bad arse DE if they have to give Swinson and Howard some competiton at EDGE/Jack.

My starters & Depth on the whole DL:

DE- Dashawn Womack, Paris Shand, S. Jones (if he stays here) Gabriel Reliford, Ahmed Breaux (4-5 guys)
DT- Blidi/Other Portal, S. Jones, Jalen Lee, Dom. McKinley (4 guys)
NT- Guillory, Shone Washington, Portal 320 weight, D. Johnson, Kimo M. (5 guys)
Edge/Jack- Swinson, Jaxson Howard, Portal 265 weight, Carpenter, CJ Jackson (5 guys)

See what the whole DL looks like from my view? Actually it looks better from my view above than on our current depth charts, if things shake out with a few portal players, one OT coming to the defense, and we might move slow moving Saivion inside to DT.

I think that guy really thinks that his word is scriptural. God forbid anybody calls him out because you’ll have to read a book when he replies.

Just read a good bit of info on him. Supposed to be above average Run Stopper. Doesn’t pressure QB much. But not a liability. Supposed to be Really good Human Being , also. Washington/LSU battle.

He had a 72.9 pff grade last year. Thats above average but Pretty sure that would’ve been the 2nd highest graded DT for us last year

I always wonder about people like him.

Do you think they realize the way they come across? Has to be some narcissism there to write multiple paragraphs every reply.

Look. If he will just line up on the LOS it will be an improvement over last year.

I can assure you this is true. I've spoken to Big Phil many times and know his father-in-law very well. He is an amazing person with an incredible story and is highly motivated to make it to the next level and provide for his family.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he ends up in Baton Rouge.

Recruit and pay him, if they think he can help. Good size. Mature. Sounds like a good dude.

The internet gives people the opportunity to pass themselves off as something greater than they really are by virtue of a good post.

I think for a lot of people, it's getting an affirmation from their peers that they're very likely not getting in their real lives.

So they put everything they have in to the posts they make, in hopes of being recognized as they would like to be perceived.

Or some shite.
