The LSU football coaching staff is hosting a big group or prospects this weekend but the only two who are uncommitted are both highly coveted from Horn Lake, Mississippi. According to their coach, LSU was the first on the scene several years ago and have not relented.

if we have Devin and Aranda both on Dean this weekend and he still decides to go elsewhere then I will still tip my hat off to this staff for the effort

Exactly. Nothing else we can do, especially if his teammate comes here.

Dean is the best player left on our board. If we could reel him in it would put the class over the top . Raydarious is special too and I think he needs the ball in his hands at receiver/ returner etc . Add Lee to that class and maybe a DL and it would be a near- perfect class. I can dream, right ?

Being coached under aranda will be the best decision he can make!

Would be a huge closeout. I know O has been recruiting the hell out of Nakobe’s mother. Hopefully meatballs MS ties payoff.

I disagree. It would be an incredible class but we’re entirely too light on Dline, again. If the one Dlineman is Sospher then I’ll agree with you.

We land those 3 guys and somehow pull Sospher? That’d be a #1 class.

Agree. We need more big uglies and I just don't see it. Absent Juco transfers, this will be a problem in 2020

I don’t follow recruiting as close as most here, so I defer on the numbers issue - but don’t we have some talent from last years class in Cotton and Livingston that is being looked over, or have those guys not shown anything yet?

Most message board posters think that if they don’t play their freshman year, then they’re a bust and repeat the cycle the following year with new recruits.

Numbers would help, but its not the dire situation everyone makes it out to be. We went through this in another thread. We have like 12 d lineman. No seniors. We play 3 or less d lineman.

We need to develop. That will be huge.

Just cant not get anyone. That's for any position.

We are heavy on the big uglies on the offensive side of the ball in the recruiting class, but for some reason we never could get much traction going with the big uglies on the defense side. I don't like it but we might have to wait till next year for those guys of which there are plenty that we have great shots at in the 2020 class. We just don't have many in play right now in the 2019 class. It was an off year for big DTs in Louisiana and we missed on the out-of-state guys that we had a shot at. Though we are apparently still in the game for a few of them., Sophser,Pickering, Young, and Ika. All are long shots it seems.

Nevermind. I thought you were asking about Pickens.

overlooked Nelson Jenkins in naming the DL from last years class that are being overlooked. He is right there with Cotton and Livingston in talent and potential.

Maybe. Probably not with the way Bama is closing but even with the rankings we need to address needs.

Cotton and Livingston May be very good but you have to have numbers on the line.

2019 class - Joseph Evans
2018 class - Davin Cotton, Nelson Jenkins and Dominic Livingston
2017 class - Tyler Shelvin, Neil Farrell and Justin Thomas

7 Dlineman in 3 years is very light especially considering those are

2 — 4* Recruits
5 — 3* Recruits

That’s how we get whipped on the line vs Bama like we have been the past few years

Close but no cigar - AL has it wrapped up big. Multitudes of 5 stars with nothing else but 4 stars
