it's a shame..... I just sent rivals packing, eff em. Paying for a bama site?? I don't think so motha fricka, I agree too I think he's better than speedy (Quinn I mean) the guy is an athlete not just a WR. He can jump, run great routes, he's quick, fast, great hands, smart, and doesn't smoke that marijuwana. Plus broke all the records you can break, while helping his team kick some arse, even won games by himself as for as taking a game over. And the guy has great size also...... We def need him and I think he plays next year right away.

Ed Paris was rated as a 5 star most of the time we were recruiting him.

High amounts of stars always feels great as a fan, but the most important thing is that we filled some big holes with some very promising individuals.

Wasn't Brumfield rated the best OG in the class by some sites? He should have been considered a 5* if so. Not that it really matters.

Fournette, Dupree, Garrett, Adams & Quinn. I dont think that's a stretch at all. One of LSU's best classes ever! Geaux Tigers!!!

Quinn has never been a 5 star on any site - even though every regular Joe that comes on this board screams that he is.

Because he should be. He broke the fricking national receiving yards record in the toughest class in a state that's been filled with talent for years. My main issue with his Rivals analysis is they said his weakness is speed. The kid runs a sub 4.4 40 and 10.4 100 meters. Good job Rivals.

He was under ranked by some sites, but to say that he has to project as one of the Top 25 players in the country into the next level is a bit of a stretch.

He should be a top 50 player on production alone in a state that is competitive in football.

Well, the composite 247 rankings show LSU with four (4) 5-stars: LF, Malachi, C.Garrett, Jamal Adams.

Other strong candidates, imo: TV, Quinn, Jacory Washington, Brumfield.

And li'l hitler agrees since he stayed pretty hard after Quinn and Jacory and Brumfield until the writing was on the wall.

RA all you want but it is a fact. Name me another receiver in this class that has put up the numbers he has? Matter of fact, name one that has ever put up the numbers he has.

Projecting is more than just the stats you put up. Relax.

Number don't/shouldn't equate to stars, but I agree with what you're saying overall. Normally speed and athleticism are the reasons, but Quinn has plenty of both.

The kid broke Green-Beckham's record. Green-Beckham was a 5*, so why would Quinn not be? It's bullshite bias and everyone knows it. Rivals said he needs to work on his speed? Really? The kid runs a 4.38 electronic 40! That is just ridiculous

Because they are completely different players?

I think Quinn is a top 50 player, but I can understand the sites hesitating to put him in the top 25.

Having him in the 180s as I remember seeing is a crime though.

I agree with that. But at the same time and you can't deny it, if Speedy would have broke that record, he would have been the consensus #1 overall player.

Its racism.

Plain and simple.

Hell, a black dude sitting on the bench masturbating during the games gets at least a 4 star.

Speedy Noil is 5'10-1/2" tall and runs a 4.40 40

Trey Quin is 6'1" and runs a 4.38 40

Now, you tell me if there is a bias or not??

Jarvis was a 5 star and Quinn was way more productive against tougher competition. Plus Quinn is bigger than Jarvis out of high school and faster. You figure that shite out.

There is no excuse for Quinn not being rated a 5-star. You can try to find a reason all day, but there just isn't one.

And here's the best part: Quinn actually played WR in high school.

Jarvis camped in the summer of '09 and made the entire world look silly at the Tennessee camp in particular. This is also where Honey Badger was the only person who could cover JL. Markeith Ambles (5 star would went to USC) was at this same camp and JL was clearly the best WR there as a sophomore.

Nice try though.
