We will lose 11 starting routines this year with Haleigh, Aleah, Sierra, KJ, Tori, Alexis, Liv, Alyona, Chase (could do another year?), and Kathryn graduating. Not only are those routines great, but we are losing some great leaders.
I think our upperclassmen will need to step up next season. Konnor will be poised for the AA if she can find a consistent vault (double-full). I could also see Amari breaking into bars and beam. Cowan and Koen could also have an expanded role next year.
Expect to see some new faces in our lineups next year. Zoe Miller will be eager to make lineups after her shoulder surgery. The same could be said about Kaliya, and I expect her to be in the AA. Our incoming freshmen are some of the highest performing L10s, but two are returning from injury.
Disappointed with the end to this season, but can't wait to see their response to this adversity!

I think others who have seen me post on this board know I am not shy from criticism in the name of it being too harsh on athletes (specifically because in any other male sport that happens all the time; this is a high level and should be treated the same).
I will say, I knew it was going to be hard as soon as we got the number one seed and never felt good about it (even though that is also an amazing accomplishment). I think the girls should hold their heads high, though. That wasn’t a bad meet for them - it just wasn’t good though on the day. We can talk about the tenths lost on bars, the tenths left by Aleah on beam, and the tenths left by Konnor and Sierra on floor - but in no way wa that a complete melt down. It was a mediocre day in the day they couldn’t afford to be mediocre. And sometimes that happens. I am so proud of them for trying to fight - for Aleah hitting floor after this season and the. That beam routine. This has been a special two years and I am really proud of them, even if it didn’t end as we hoped.
I am hopeful that we can recreate lightning in a bottle over the next few seasons. And I think OU probably runs away with it if they have in night - when they are on the only two teams who have gotten close are us and FL. Utah was lights out as was ucla last night(ans we know very hard to replicate that two days in an row) and Missouri won’t really challenge on an even playing field.

I took a look at the 2022 roster and came to the realization that because of the redshirt/eligibility rule, technically Sierra, Chase and Alexis can all do another year if they so choose since they all competed in less than 33% of the meets during the 2022 season

I don’t think anyone will return. Konnor and kailin should be your only steady AA’s. Elise could be but unsure of her health status. Cowan can do beam, but Kylie needs to clean up her form and she could for sure be a great leadoff. What we will really need, and maybe have to get out of transfer portal, is vaulters. Now that KJ is gone we should never put a full in post season again. All that being said, it was a great season and the ladies should hold their heads up. The younger classes should be hungry for more after yesterday.

LSU will be fine down the road and listening to Jay in the press conference yesterday, the most pressing thing we will need is to preserve and get our young talent healthy (Zoe, Konnor, Lincoln, freshmen class).
It may not have reflected at times but Haleigh dealing with her injuries having to train w/ limited numbers, KJ limited to vault, losing Brock, Lincoln, Miller, and a limited Konnor ultimately impacted the ceiling for this team overall. To come out with a SEC Title (both season and meet) was impressive. Yesterday they didnt implode or anything but it just wasn't their best on any event and at that stage of post season you have to be better than average to advance
It'll be interesting though with losing 11 routines if they dip their feet in the portal if the fit is right. Lincoln and Zoe being healthy, along with the development of the freshmen class will be key for 2026 season

Another Natty for OU. They were on target today. Vault was a thorn in the foot for most teams at Championships with very few sticks. The scores did go up somewhat even without bonified sticks for OU. KJ will probably have a statue erected in honor of her coaching success when she decides to retire. We have 9 months ahead until the 2026 season arrives. Let's hope the girls that are recovering from injuries will be ready to train this fall and that we get some strong commits for the 2027 season.

Anyone worried about losing the Griffiths to Clemson? Clemson pays out top tier $$ for its coaches

Oh Myia, wonder what Jay would do if that happens?

Considering they turned down the position 2 years ago in favor of staying at LSU and just got a contract extension and raise last season, I don’t think they would leave just a year after all of that. Despite not winning the title this year, one could argue that this was our best season yet. Not to mention, that would mean uprooting their family for the second/third time in 5 years

Emjae Frazier to portal with one last year of eligibility left
Think this is one we should push for

Most are saying Florida. Barf

Feels like 99% of every high profile transfer lands at Florida somehow

I’m okay with her going to Florida (if not LSU). Jenny always cracks in the postseason. If they couldn’t win with Trinity and couldn’t win with Leanne, I highly doubt they win it all with eMjae.

I just wish these ladies would try somewhere else. Loved that Skylar went to Kentucky. Wish more would go to other schools. Would love some more parity in the sport.

Speaking of which…any word on good transfers we good get - I think with the size of our departing roster we could be an attractive place for some high profile transfers.
My guess with emjae is that she realizes if cal couldn’t do it last year, then they weren’t coming anywhere near it after this year and she wanted to go to a program that could. Social media would indicate she is close to Selena which is interesting given the whole ucla thing.

They should try to go after Cellestine at Mizzou. She is from LA and might welcome coming to play for the P & G.

Damn! I didn't realize she was a senior.
