I'd take Hayes and Phillips back in a heartbeat
We need Philips back.
Hayes was a ball hog who couldn’t come close to scoring and couldn’t handle the ball. There were a couple games we were in that he single handedly cost us the game. It would be best if he doesn’t come back.

Does anyone know when Joe Girard will commit and will it be LSU? Also who else is on our radar since we got 2 roster spots left?

I don’t know, but I don’t think we need another short guard with only a year of eligibility left. I’d like to see us go in for Abram and try and get Phillips back.

There hasn't really been any news as to when we can expect Girard to announce. I do know that before his LSU visit he had also heard from Georgia, Texas Tech, and Ole Miss, so not sure if he is planning to visit any of those.
As far as who is on our list: Girard, Abram, Battle, Philips, and Tchewa are the targets remaining

McMahon is working hard
Getting some La kids may help him
I’m not ready to bury him yet
Bama was interested in Stewart

I think people are underestimating how big of an impact just bringing Stewart, Wright, and Cook in from the portal so far.
Great job by CMM in my opinion.

I was just doing some Twitter search and Girard was apparently asking for a decent NIL bag. So he seems a "whomever is the highest bidder" recruit

We've certainly upgraded our backcourt play. I'm not sure we've replaced KJ's production, but we appear to have some options.
McMahon has done some good things, but let's take a realistic view of this. Outside of kids that he coached at Murray St. and kids with a Baton Rouge connection, he really hasn't landed any big fish (potential exception being Tyrell Ward).
Louisiana basketball talent is okay, but thinking that you can live off of local kids in the portal and not being able to land others players with no La connection is not a recipe for long term success.

tfwiw but Phillips was in TL with Fountain this past weekend instead of being on an official. Saying he entered the portal last week that cant be bad news

Well the previous coach we had passed on all of them so it’s good we actually have an interest in bringing these kids back home.

Yeah, and the kids he passed on them for made the NCAA tournament. He was able to get better players.
Was he going to take Jordan Wright over Cam Thomas?
Thanks for proving my point. You’ve got to go get the best players available, not just the best players available with Louisiana connections.

WW may have gotten the players, but he did nothing with them.

Please explain your definition of “nothing”.

LOL!
Did you watch LSU basketball before 2018?
WW’s 5 years here was the most consistent success this program has scene since the Reagan Administration.
ETA. Maybe you define “nothing” as going 2-16 in conference. If that is the case, then you are correct.

Yeah 16-2 in sec play is nothing. You’re a dumbass. See yourself out and let the adults talk.

Baker isn’t a local kid. Maybe we can live on local talent with some supplemental talent from elsewhere.

I mean to be fair to Wade, he recruited Cook and opened the bag for Javonte Smart.

Good point on Baker. Wouldn’t really call that a huge pick up, but certainly a nice addition.
