Only thing I’ll add to Watford discussion is that unless he’s hit a recent growth spurt he’s not 6-9. Closer to 6-7 1/2 imo.

And that’s a pretty big difference at the next level.

This isn’t true. I don’t ever remember seeing a mock draft that didn’t have him going in the 2nd round.

Yep. It was pretty consensus he was going to be an early 2nd rounder with potential to go into first. Pretty crazy how he fell

They’re pretty much all 1 to 1.5 inches less than their listed height once they take off their shoes.

Are you’re saying that 6-7.5 is his height w/ shoes? That would certainly be a problem for him.

With LSU having 6 commits it is now guaranteed that at least 2 of Smart, Bishop, Manning, Days, Hyatt, Watford, Cooper and Williams will not be back next year. My best guess is that Smart, Days, Bishop, Manning, and Hyatt all return with Watford, Williams, and Cooper leaving. That would open up two more spots which would probably either go to Eric Gaines (2020 PG), Frank Anselem (2021 Center, possible reclassification candidate), or Johnathon Kuminga (2021 SF, possible reclassification candidate), or a grad/JUCO transfer. My best guess is that Anselem and another transfer ends up getting added to this class.

Surely the NBA will make him play with his shoes, I think that’s a rule, could be wrong though.

LSU is only 1 over at the current time.

11 on scholarship (13 allowed)
-3 seniors = 8
+ 6 commits = 14
= 1 over

There’s a new name to monitor for this class. Moussa Cisse is apparently looking to reclassify and LSU is in a pretty good spot for him if he does so. Also Wade plans on taking all 4 recruits we seem to be in on (Gaines, Anselem, Kuminga, and Cisse).

Of the bigs listed here, who do you like best and who do you think we end up with?

I think Anselem is a done deal and won’t be too long until it’s official. He’s got a great ceiling, but needs to continue to fill out physically to reach his potential, he’s a tremendous athlete and looks to have great potential as a shot blocker so he’ll definitely fill a gaping whole on our team. Cisse is a beast. Raw as hell, but has insane athletic ability. Great motor, good defensive instincts, probably the best shot blocker in the 2021 class, but also needs to put some weight on. Imagine a twitcher, smoother Chieck Diallo. I’m a little bullish on our chances with Cisse right now because it’s still early and everything’s being kept kind of low key. But as long as Joe Alleva doesn’t miraculously become our AD again we should have a shot.

I’m happy unluckytiger still thinks LSU lands Kuminga. He’s got real sauces and always dead on when he makes claims

getting all of these would be insane. Can you imagine this full roster? Who would even be in our 8-9 rotation, and who would have to sit

Everyone knows about Anselem and Kuminga, but I tell you Gaines and Cisse would be equally huge.

Gaines has really elite athleticism and great length for a guard which would help a ton defensively.

Cisse has like a 7’5 wingspan lmao, it’s insane.

I believe Anselem is all LSU and if they can pull Kuminga too...holy hell Dickie V would be ecstatic lol

Hyatt,Cooper, and Bishop may be gone from the looks of playing time.

I dont think it's a big secret they will replace Cooper, I'd be a bit surprised if they replaced Hyatt and Bishop though. Bishop Wade said was hurt a while back, not sure how much it's affecting him. Hyatt is coming off injury last year and this is his first season, he's played a good bit, just didn't last night.

I'm typically not one to give up on a player after just 1 year, some guys take a while to develop, not every player comes in here ready to play quality minutes from game 1. Cooper has been in college 3 years though and cant get on the court, he's a goner IMO.

Yea I think you get guys like Bish and Hyatt so they can be real contributors year 3 n 4.

Coop just doesn't have it for this level it seems. If we can/need to, we will probably replace him.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bishop moves on. Nothing really stood out about his game from the little we saw of him this year even in garbage time. Didn't seem like he had a grasp of the offense and looked very timid for a point guard at this level. Assuming Javonte comes back, you're looking at Smart, Manning, Thomas as definite guys ahead of him, and then he's got to worry about Cook and potentially Gaines jumping him. I don't know where the playing time comes for him and if he wants to gamble that we don't pick up another elite guard or two next class at the rate Wade is recruiting.
