Guess I should’ve explained. I think Simpson will get the first look at 3rd over Pearson, but they’re probably your corner infielders assuming Frey is gone and Larson transfers

I found it on the NCAA site. Rosters have to be at 34 for the start of spring ball. In the fall, they can have more than the 34.

wonder how the transfer we got this year fits our plan for next season
im talking about yamin, he must have been really bad in the off-season to never see the field. he may have been the only guy on the team to never get a single ab ,pr ,or even get on the field on defense.

Young Pearson can rake, he just needs more at bats. Stick him at 1B next year barring a big bat in the portal that plays first.

I think it is a lot less often than football. And I think across all sports now, once a guy enters, the coach writes them off and starts looking for someone else. Maybe if the person is a top star, the coach may keep going after him.

I guess we can assume going forward that anyone getting appearances almost exclusively as a late-game defensive replacement will be hitting the portal at the end of the season.

Sadly yes. Guys like Frey are going to be few and far between.
