No disrespect to woods but how did he get drafted
Because good prospects don't sign for 5K. So they drafted someone with a somewhat live arm and said "let's just see what happens". It's stupid, but it's the way the draft is with the slot bonus rules, and teams trying to save money to sign who they actually value.

Mr Rock, Ill say this as nicely as possible, it would be nice if you could just read the thread and not post like the rest of us idiots who lurk bc we don't know wtf we're talking about. We come here to read the more-informed posters of TD and you detract from that a bit

Was expecting he’d make it to campus, but glad to see him make it official!

I like that. He’s got upside. And he’s already got quasi-college experience by pitching against Chipola this past season at TNXL.

he has a pulse and would sign for 5k

Man, how long has koki been following this? Saying that only 4 rounds in with a break? Amateur hour

Can guys even pull their names mid draft?
Posted on 7/11/26 at 8:50 pm to SoloTiger
If they can, wondering is jay is offering a little nil bump for doing so before tomorrow resumes

I’m reviewing my spreadsheet after doing some updating post Day 1.
If we’re able to keep 41 on the roster like Jay said, we’re in good shape. We’re at 47 right now with Guidry and Garcia from the roster still available plus the HS guys and Osbolt (who I don’t know any sign ability on).
I know that the portal is closed, but if we needed a spot and Yamin graduates, he could go anywhere at semester break and be eligible.
If we have a bloodbath tomorrow, Marshall Louque is definitely in play for a spot. There have been rumors he’s on his way in anyway.
One funny thing I noticed looking at the position groups is that William Patrick is the second oldest OF on next years roster. Only Bino is older.
And I think Angel Laya may be on a sophomore year Jake Brown plan regarding LHPs. He might see some to get him some work, but his platoon splits aren’t good against lefties. That may be a way we get Patrick or perhaps Murphy some ABs.

Not officially. They can stop fielding calls, but they’re still eligible to be drafted.

Brady is a stud. If he were in a warm weather area theres prob a different discussion right now lol

didn't LSU have someone "pull out" a few years ago and was drafted anyway later in the draft?

Him and Sides are similar in that regard. Both moved way south for their senior years to face better competition.
Funny thing, Brady would be middle of the pack in age for next years class. He’s almost a full year younger than Devyn Downs.

It’s talked about a lot that Paul Gervase did that, but what it actually came down to is that he didn’t realize there was a day three of the draft. He thought it was over and he didn’t get picked when he tweeted that out.

A hs guy? If so, dont remember. I remember gervase saying he was coming back after one day of the draft, only to get drafted the next day and eventually sign
Damnit project
