Wouldn’t surprise me to see Hamilton go as well, but all I ask is for Paz to make it along with Ricken.

I know Jay doesn't like to deal with portal guys leaving LSU but I doubt anyone could blame Larson for his decision to at least enter and see what the roster looked like entering '26. If Stanfield gets picked today, it seems like a no brainer to recruit Larson to return.

I'm still holding out hope on Hamilton.

I know some folks chalked him up as a loss, but he kept falling and falling in BA's rankings, so I let myself get some hope.

Nate Taylor just committed to Vandy

This might be more disappointing than the start of the draft today.

Nick Potter was on our portal radar. He went to the Astros.

Yea I was pretty disappointed to see that. I really thought he would come to LSU.

Any more signees lost at this point would be a little disappointing. The tea leaves for the rest of the guys have been pretty positive, even Hamilton has been steadily falling after a slow spring. The other 7 were all expected to go.

I'd expect River Hamilton to be drafted today. Would be pleasantly surprised if not.

You are at the point where you have to start paying attention to what teams are capable of meeting whatever there numbers are. What teams have the bigger bonus pool and have managed their picks to possibly throw last minute money around.

not for some our SEC brethren. A&M and Tennessee lost a guy, maybe some others.

So it was better than clean.

Is there a point where Jared Jones' offer is so low that he just takes a matching NIL offer to return and break the career home run record???

A lot less worry on losing incoming recruits after round 10. It's not out of the realm though.

I disagree. When they can exempt $150k from the bonus pool, it makes it easier to meet the number for fringe guys. Baltimore is going to clean up in 11-20 this year.

He and his family made it clear that they expected him to move on after the season, but it might start to make sense as he falls. It might come down to if he would just rather take his chance in pro ball vs continuing to live the college life.

I was thinking more of the last few drafts. You are right, this year could be wild. I guess I just think it would have to be life changing money, and a couple hundred grand isn't. The other is a guy is just wanting to play pro ball, not college.

Agreed. Guys who go in top 10 rounds are 99.9% goners. No sweating them once names are selected. The guys selected in rounds 11-20 are the ones LSU will be sweating until the clock strikes zero on signing deadline (and some grace period thereafter ie Mac Marshall).
