Really Vitello
You got Doyle and Fisher from Ole Miss last offseason
You just axed most of your roster in the offseason, over 20 players

I'm not surprised that you couldn't grasp the point he was making.

Looked back at MLBs top 200 draft prospects for last year to see when HS started going more college than pros.
Top 30 means 30 overall not just HS.
Top 30: 8 of 9 Signed (Schmidt stand up!)
31-60; 13 of 14
61-90: 6 of 11
91-120: 5 of 20
121-150: 5 of 13
152-180: 2 of 13
181-200: 1 of 6
Based off this this years rankings that would put Young (37), Moss(56) and Fauske(57), in Miracle territory.
But Ebel (64) Briggs (69) Sime (86) and Patrick (90) are in coin flip territory.
the rest you have a really solid change of getting to campus if last year shows a trend

Nice work!
It’s still a person by person type of deal but the numbers have to have some weight to it also. Someone like Ebel would be one that I think works a little different with his background around the MLB all his life.

Should be mentioned that Cooper Moore is a draft risk

Not that FSS is the only that matters but he isn’t in their top 600. So I doubt he’s that much of a draft risk in general.

Moscona draft preview
Nails on a chalkboard here. Everybody's favorite draft expert Matt Moscona tells his tens of loyal fans that McKenzie, Moss, and Sime are all 50/50s.
Says Quentin Young is a lock to go in the top 30-35 picks which hasn't been true the entire Spring.
The best is about Landon Hodge. "They are fully expecting him to end up an LSU Tiger" which is the complete opposite of what every expert is saying.

I don't think that is necessarily true. May have been true pre CWS but Anderson seemed to take over that spot since the CWS and not really because of the change in GM
Im going off betting odds, going into the cws finals holliday was the favorite at minus money to go to the nats, anderson was about +250, it flopped a couple days after the gm news…..although anderson isnt a huge favorite, still likely not known

AFR just needs to let Musso do all the baseball segments because moscona has absolutely no clue what he's talking about

Musso is pretty good. I enjoy his podcast.

I like Moscona but he did do a segment last week where he talked about the 4 OF’s in this years HS class coming in being Davis, Washington, Murphy, and Roberson. Maybe he just clicked the wrong recruiting class year but that’s pretty bad.

May be right. I think Holliday and Anderson has been the leader for that 1.1 pick the whole time. Guess it comes down to if they want a quick turnaround on the MLB team or not. Anderson floor is very high but the ceiling may not be much higher than he is now. Good thing is what he is now is a back end rotation for MLB team. His ceiling will get him to top rotation if he puts on a little more weight and gains some velo.
