Chris Martin had an video of some of them working out on his IG yesterday. Someone who knows what these guys look like could probably tell you if it's still up

Looks like Dean Moss and Ethan Clauss. Think the one with his back to the camera is Landon Hodge. Can't figure out the guy on the right.

Thompson should be able to get plenty of playing time at a school like McNeese
Hope he does well but yeah I wouldn't put a ton of stock into what he is doing with Rougarou. Throwing strikes sometimes goes a long way and maybe he could have had a role like Guidry in relief but you are not surviving in the SEC without velo. Just go back to 2022 season when LSU's ace was Hilliard.

The SEC teams were all so close together, you could have put them in a hat and picked the seeding that way. They definitely gave way too much stock for a run in the SEC tourney. Ole Miss and Vandy both couldn't make it out of their own regional to inferior teams. LSU didn't have any desire to stick around throwing both anderson and eyanson on day 1 of sec tourney. I don't think Ark cared too much either and both teams were the last sec teams standing. Tenn likely makes Omaha if they didn't draw Hogs in Supers. Texas peaked too soon and weren't Omaha caliber the last month of season. UGA and Auburn were good enough to be Omaha teams but failed to get it done.

Naw. He may develop into the hitter Frey is but Frey is also a super athlete. Pearson won't ever be that.

You have the worst takes.

Side note: why is this in the recruiting thread?

The player was Kale Fountain that got drafted. Not sure who his roommate was the little while he was here on campus but I want to say it was Curiel or Arrambide.

Many people on the recruiting thread have decent knowledge of baseball and don't enjoy threads being highjacked by rant idiots so we post stuff baseball related that isn't necessarily recruiting.

Fair enough, I just hate to wade through so much stuff looking for news of a Taylor commitment.

I was really excited about Fountain. He would be closer to a Frey comp as a really big dude who was a great athlete for his size. He probably starts at third this past year had he stuck it out.

Casan Evans on Mik'd up. Not sure if they were roommates, but they had agreed to either go in the draft or go to LSU together. Casan called Kale, to tell him that he was staying along with the other guys. Kale apparently had packed up his stuff and was driving out as soon as his agent called him. I may have a few details mixed up, but I'll try to find the clip.

As much as I hated it, I can’t blame the kid (Fountain). Didn’t he get like 2nd round money ?

I liked what I saw from Thompson in scrimmages. Not sure why he didn’t get much of a look in games.

Yea, it wasn't a situation of him not wanting to be here. He basically told teams he was on campus and he had his number set pretty high. Guess we could assume that number was 1.5. Padres figured out a way to offer him 1.7 in the 5th round and at that point it is hard to pass up that kind of money.
