TH22 what's Brodys plans? Is he healthy yet?
He doesn’t know. All he knows is everyone hates playing at LSU and Gavin Guidry should be throwing 103 while hitting .500. It’s LSU’s fault he isn’t being developed.

There it is! I don’t think you have used all your words yet but it’s so easy to get you angry. Who hurt you?
I tried to tell you there were lots of unhappy players. Stacking the deck without development isn’t appealing to anyone. Offering transfers $$$ but not giving your current players the same isn’t appealing to anyone. There are quite a few in the portal that would LOVE to stay but LSU isn’t the place for them if they want a future in baseball. Not because they aren’t good or LSU doesn’t have resources but because LSU isn’t taking care of the guys already here. Everyone wants these kids to sacrifice and stay because it’s LSU. Everyone wants to call them weak if they leave………leaving may be their only hope in achieving their goals! It’s sad but true

Maybe the young man should look in the mirror. Life ain’t all sunshine and rainbows.

But I thought you were only saying what you see? How would you know all this stuff if you weren't connected to someone on the team?
You still don't understand why people think you suck.

No offense, but you sure seem full of shite.
You mean players who aren't doing well want more playing time? No way! Seriously?
No, not "everyone" is calling them weak. "Most" understand guys want to transfer for more playing time. It really isn't as deep as you are trying to make it out. You clearly have some sort of agenda against Jay, but this is college sports of today.

He's connected to someone on the team but wants to you think he isn't.
He wants to come across as an insider but doesn't want anything to blow back on the people whose trust he is betraying. So he plays both sides of the fence, poorly.

lol I saw plenty of players develop. Jared Jones couldn’t hit a breaking ball to save his life and his plate discipline was abysmal his first year. Last year he was the best hitter on the team and drew a ton of walks. Milam was abysmal in the fall and then became one of the best players on the team by years end. Maybe the kids complaining about development should look in the mirror.

What if those current players aren’t deserving of NIL money? Who in the portal from LSU currently gives us a better shot at another title? I don’t see anyone. We have a ton of guys leaving who never contributed in any meaningful way. I don’t think Jay is done building this roster for next year and it seems he’s going after proven guys who will get us closer to a title.

So players perceive LSU as not developing them?
Also of the players that have left none have really shown huge promise that would warrant $$. Im confused how LSU isn’t taking care of the players there, I’m sure LSU takes care of players that have contributed and played up to their potential. But kids like Brady and Kling that haven’t improved shouldn’t be looking for a $ promise if they are below average players.
I’m not an insider nor do I have any connections just a fan looking for some discussion from someone apparently that has connections.

honestly, I havent felt that way about anyone in the portal until now.
I was disappointed Cam jumped in.
But Neal has had a ton of chances, we aren’t exactly attacking the deck at C. We have 1 JUCO and 1 Freshmen and we don’t know if either will
make it to campus.

lol it’s not LSU’s problem the pitchers can’t throw strikes or the catchers can’t block up a ball at the plate. Those are fundamentals you learn in middle school ball. Maybe they should figure out the easier things before they start crying for playing time

Wait! Are you mad because I am right or mad because you were wrong?
I am around a bunch of these kids and I listen to them talk. CJJ needs to do some soul searching and start making amends. He has created a mess!

It’s easy to feel that way when you are connected to a player.
I understand that and sympathize with that.
But I also see LSU’s side too. How do you give more money to players that cannot outright win jobs on this team? So Brady Neal or Paxton Kling want more money, but are not even locked into starting positions?
Development is a two way street, too. You can’t blame it all on lsu when there are other kids that are getting better. At some point the player has to take accountability.
We know one driving factor in development is playing time, and guys like Kling & Neal received a lot of it & still did not meet expectations. You want to keep those guys & see what happens, but it’s hard to compensate them without seeing the growth you need

Jay Johnson has a natty already and will most likely get another one really soon
He’s an offensive genius and players tend to get better under him
TH22 stop hating please

Some players may just be conflating the reality that they are just not that good with the idea they aren’t being developed. Both Jay and Yeskie have a very very extensive history of developing players. Proof is in the pudding. If this dude is right about players being unhappy then I tend to believe we may just be dealing with a few guys with attitude and work ethic issues.

We gave him every chance in the world. We tried him in the outfield over actual outfielders. We kept putting him behind the plate despite him seemingly never trying to improve his defense. And he still couldn't hit in conference.
If he doesn't want to show some loyalty to the program that showed him much more than he earned, we will be better off without him.
From some of things I've heard, Jay won't be all that sorry to see him out the door.
