Priester can be drafted. I’m not sure he is the best option to fall back on.

I agree that’s why I’m sure Jay is going to be looking for a catcher in the portal. Maybe Neal didn’t like hearing that.

There are some low D1 catchers on the portal radar, but I agree. We're going to be in a bad way if we're relying on Priester and Arrambide to make it to campus, Jones to stick around and be good enough behind the plate, and Frey to heal up and be good enough behind the plate.

Neal transferring with no other catchers on the roster would just be baffling to me:
But on the bright side you can tell that the talent on the roster has improved. This is really the first time I’m sour about losing some players. Neal would definitely add to that disappointment

This thread this time of the year is the best hands down, not the Rantards spewing BS non-stop. Wanna thank everyone for providing info and tidbits.
Adding potentially Beidelschies and Sheerin would solidify our rotation when you consider Anderson, Herring (potentially), and Shores as well

It's early. Give it time.
Just because they are getting portal players doesn't mean much. Too early in the process. Only player I feel LSU seemed a little more interested in that committed elsewhere quick was Evan Chrest. He is going to Florida State.

she has been given the opportunity to take that spot and there is no one in front of him next year.
He knows he is t going to catch every game so idk why he’d be upset about another catcher.
