I don’t think the intentions with his swing have anything to do with his strength
He can be every bit as strong as say Brayden Jobert & if his approach is different (which it is), he’s not going to hit 20hr. His batting average will also be significantly higher

Is this thread just Larson Talk now lol

Not sure why he is so polarizing honestly. One of the better freshmen seasons for an OF in a while it feels like.
But has no power or speed and can’t play defense. Dunno.

Literally the only negative thing about Larson is his noodle arm. His bat is very exciting and his mental makeup at the plate is great

Any new word if Connor Simon will be part of the fall roster?
Posted on 8/6/24 at 8:01 pm to Tig04
I doubt Simon can make a dent on this roster
Might be better to go get some at bats at a juco like Delgado or lsu e and then try and get noticed

We likely never know but I wonder if this is a Jay decision because of the incident or if Victorian may have requested out of his signing to look elsewhere and LSU gave it to him. Makes it a little easier for roster numbers and don't have the risk of if he doesn't keep it straight and is a locker room problem.
it was a numbers game on top of the incident. LSU side pulled it

It's the safe play on LSU's side. He would have made the pitching staff a lot better though. Maybe not a big contributor this season, but would have been nice to have after they guys expected to leave after this season.

100% and if he goes and performs at OU he can transfer after this season.
but imo better play for Vic anyways. get away from the home life to a place he can develop on his terms, not families terms

This was my exact first thought. The kid obviously has some issues. It may help him to get away and remake himself as he matures.

Man nothing on this tread. Hoping to see 300 but hasn’t moved in days. Dog days of summer.

Jay reads this thread, so he knows Chicken wants it turned over. Because of that, he's not having the new 2026 commits go public yet.

I have the new thread ready to go. Just waiting for 300 and/or till around the Jay presser.

I’ve been refreshing the roster on lsusports.net more than this thread lately. Waiting for it to pop.
