Anyone remember LSU signee Justin Williams? He was drafted by some Dubai based baseball league today.

Dang, two decommits for Vandy in a short time. Just a coincidence or is something going on?
NIL put everyone back on a level playing field with Vandy’s opportunity fund they used to loophole recruiting?

He played for the Cardinals for a little bit.

That league looks crazy, Bartolo Colon was also drafted.

According to PG it's William Patrick from St Fred's in Monroe. Big time 2025 in state kid. Extremely athletic. I haven't seen if he's announced personally yet, but I'll add him to the list.

I liked Minjae better than MJ as a prospect, honestly. Minjae was committed to Vandy for a long time, I believe.

Serious question: I wonder if they'd be able to interpret for Sasaki if we got him here. Is it happening?

I'm pretty sure they are South Korean, so I doubt they speak any Japanese.

I don't know all the ins and outs of Asian national relations, but from what I understand people from Japan and people from Korea don't always have the highest regard for each other.

Japan committed a lot war crimes against Koreans during WWII. That has mostly faded away but historically speaking, not the best of buds.

"Mostly faded away": son has married a beautiful Japanese female & have visited them twice. Nothing has faded away & the Chinese are also still hated just as much. Japan is 95% Japanese, thus there is little to none cultural assimilation of other foreigners.

Weird. Wonder if it’s due to family issues or something

Yeah GCU is in Phoenix area where he's from, probably something where he wants to be close to home if he plays college ball.

Jay might have to go out and get 1 more OF in the '24 class now because Griffin and Curiel highly unlikely to make it here and Clark now gone it leaves you with 1 OF in the class really in John Pearson. Obviously other guys in the class who could potentially fill the gap as well though.

He just transferred to IMG, so maybe he realized after that he wants to be closer to home for college.

I doubt pearson plays OF in college. He’s probably closer to 250 than his listed weight at 205. He’s a big ole boy.

This is what he looked like 2yrs ago. He will have to shape up a bit but even at his current size, was playing CF for WM last year. He’s still pretty athletic and I think you could sneak him on a corner esp if the bat plays

Do you think lsu is taking commitments from kids that aren’t good lol?

From a tools & prospect perspective he might be the best position player prospect in any class in LA.

Pretty sure he has some D-1 football offers.
