It’s awful. I don’t like Pointstreak either.
I'm not the biggest fan of Pointstreak, but I liked all the leagues being in one spot and I like the player pages.
The biggest issue is that every league that has moved away from pointstreak has moved to a worse format, except for maybe the Prospect League. Northwoods is only okay. Any league using the MLB interface is terrible. I barely look at minor league box scores anymore because they switched to it a couple years ago. Ruined it.

Im thinking crowded from a starter stand point.
Gotta think Pearson and Stansfield lock up spots.
That gives you brown, curiel, and Larson for the remaining spot. Obviously this changes if Larson moves to first but I’m not trying to stack too many hypotheticals on top of each other.

Yeah I dont think it’s insane to want to add another guy
I think the “crowded” comment is more about what we are currently dealing with now and it possibly repeating itself. We’ve got several OF that should be playing, that will be competing for PT. You named 5 outfielders that are absolutely going to expect to be everyday players. I think this is where the frustration from the portal is coming from. At some point you have to trust your evaluations and development with guys like Cooley, Paul etc being your depth.

Brown and Larson both looked good at 1B. Larson in particular looked smooth taking grounders. I don't think they will move out of the outfield. We have a lot of infielders and 1B will go to a power bat. Jones, Frey, Hernandez, Trevor Schmidt, Costello, John Pearson. It's also possible one of the power bats moves to the OF.

we did that last year and we saw how that ended up. Jay probably knows where those guys are at and is moving accordingly

Summer ball update: Trevor Schmidt is no longer on the La Crosse Loggers roster.
He might be joining the other recruits and enrolling for the Summer 2 session.

If we go off of Jay’s history then this will be the move. We are running out of spots to put a 20+ HR guy at. Pretty much have 1b or 3rd right now so I’m not 100% convinced that’s where Larson goes.
Edit: DH too

Also, unless someone has figured it out and I just haven't, the new Cape Cod league site is fricking garbage. You can't get an individual player page and game by game stats anymore.
They went with the MLB style format and it's terrible.
I agree. Much rather how it was set up in the past. Can't click on a player and get to their profile. Its all just listed.

If we're going to portal a catcher, I like the Ohio State one that just hit the portal. Matt Graveline

Jace Rinehart
I had my eye on Jace Rinehart but the more I look at it, doesn't seem like he is playing much C anymore. More corner OF it seems.

For anyone interested, MLB Network has coverage of the MLB Combine starting now until 5.
Jared Jones putting on a show for BP was already mentioned less than 5 minutes into the coverage.

He gone..
Not gonna lie…..I know the chances of him staying were always slim but part of me was holding out hope. I actually believe Jay figured it out somehow but it seems hard to believe we drastically improve on last years offense while losing Bear.

just remember that Bingham and Kling were "locks" to start going into this season.

They were just talking to Griffin on the broadcast. Seemed like a great kid. Wearing cowboy boots with a country accent
He said he's got LSU stuff all in his room because he loves the school. Said he would love the opportunity to play for LSU if that's how things went.
I kid I kid..

I don’t think there is anyone of our returning ofers who are guarantee no doubt locks. Larson maybe the closest, but could he move to first. Pearson is obviously clutch, but was a 244 hitter. How many times did we see the comment on him being the pop up king. Brown was a 268 hitter. Had moments and could be good, but not a lock. Curiel is unknown. High ranked, but has questions.
I didn’t see a true cf other than kling last year.

Kale Fountain just took his round of BP and it was pretty impressive. They are talking about the sound off the wood the bat being very impressive.

I honestly never thought Kling was a lock but I did think Bingham would be much much better. Maybe locks isn’t the right word. In the NIL era I think expectations for players are a bit different. As it stands right now, you are going to have 5 players who probably expect to start in the OF next year.
