I believe Cam Johnson was hurt recently. Since starting to throw again, he's bounced up and down a bit in the rankings.
Bama has a pitcher (Alton Davis) who throws lefty at 98 mph. Would not shock me if he gets that up to 100 mph in the next two years. Its about time LSU gets a left handed pitcher like that.

Caglianone throws hard too. They are rare to begin with but some do make it to school

And its really hard to give up your ABs when you just had 33 home runs in a 71-game season

Yeah I know how ridiculous that sounds but man, his command is so shaky, he needs a ton of improvement. He can throw with heat but gd it's all over the place

[quote]His ceiling is more like Robby Snelling and he gets picked comp 1st and gets 3
How close were we to getting snelling last year? His stats were incredible this year.
I guess not that close considering he went 39th overall

The only reason people thought we were close to having a shot is because he was down in the rankings. Only reason he was down in the rankings is because he was a big time football recruit and didn’t do showcases for baseball. His senior season for baseball he gradually crept up the rankings and then once he participated in a few all star type games and the combine hit last season he skyrocketed up the rankings. So his situation was a little different than normal. I don’t think we ever truly had a shot at him. Especially once scouts really started paying attention to him.

What’s the story with Seo?
I know at one time we were thinking it would be tough to get him on campus and now it seems like it’s more likely than not.
Are we thinking pitcher or position player? And if position player do we think he’s a guy who can come in and hold down a middle infield spot as a freshman?

Snelling could be in the show in the next year or 2.

From what I hear they are leaning more pitcher but leaving the possibility of 2 way open. Don’t know if he would be a freshman to take a MIF spot. Think other guys might have more of a shot at that.

Not a surprise since he wants to play 3B. Similar situation as Tommy White last season.

If they are expecting him to play 3rd (I don't have inside info on this part) it means they're expecting Denton to go pro.
Denton and Lindsey were two of their big clubhouse leaders last season but it took a while for them to emerge because they were transfers.
This is the part of the portal that makes things unsustainable. They'll likely be starting from scratch again from a team leader standpoint.

Seo is listed at 5’11” but looks more like 5’9”. He is already 19 and just kind of lacks the physicality of what they look for in an early pick HS kid.
I think he could play 2B or 3B if he proves he can hit. But his arm seems like it’s developing into his calling card

I think Seo could play middle infield (probably 2B) right away, and hit enough to stick. He has some absolutely nasty stuff on the bump, though. I don't think they're going to pigeon hole him right away. They'll assess what the roster needs and use him accordingly, like they did with Guidry.
I wish we could flip his younger brother.

I agree with you on 2B and 3B being his likely positions. Will be interesting to see if he can come in right away. I will be curious to see how their fall goes and follow it. Also figure in Braswell and Reaves into that equation.
