That's totally fair and I understand. You were projecting your individual situation as a general concept, I'm just letting you know that it's not always like that.

Other than Tommy White, will we have any of these transfers for more than a year?

Tebrake and Pineda would be using their COVID years, so absolutely not on them.

Young would be using his 4th year but would still have a COVID year if he wanted it. I would say it's unlikely.

Little would have two years of eligibility but I would guess his plan is do well enough to go pro after next season.

I can give specifics on other guys if/when they commit. Or commit publicly.

I think Hurd is so important for that reason, he gives you 2 years of a consistent big time arm in the rotation...not having to find 3 new guys every year. Really allows you to be flexible

I do think Hurd is the missing link right now. If we get more than just him then great, but he is the main ingredient to next seasons run. If he gets fully healthy of course.

Agreed. I was hoping for a little consistency somewhere in the rotation like we had with Poche and Lange.

I guess it may come across to you that way, and perhaps my wording is to blame. But I wasn't projecting my situation on anyone. Only that I think people confuse benefits with hard work. I'm not saying that you, or that other people don't work hard. But this lady seems like she just wants to do work when she feels like it, and that goes beyond just the topic of vacation. She just comes across as being extremely entitled. And that is my overall issue.

Now, I apologize for my part in partaking in this conversation and contributing to the derailing of this thread. I didn't foresee it being such a big deal. But, let's get back to baseball.

I read in an earlier post that USC P/3B Jaden Agassi is in the portal. It looks like he was the top 3B out of Nevada and ranked a 10 by PG just saying.

Would mark the return of "Have you heard who his mother is?" to LSU baseball.

He didn't hit at all for USC this year for some reason

I wonder how willing Jay is to do fielder/pitcher combos. It sounds great, but seems like it’s a bigger issue than it’s worth trying to figure out how to keep them available to do both. Skenes pitching and playing catcher at a D1 level is absolutely wild to me.

Bobby Dalbec was a two way player for him at Arizona.

Why is it that every time I try to let it go, someone has a response, and then tells me to let it go or get back to baseball? Why are you all so concerned about me? Heed your own advice if you want it to stop.

Which is why I thought if we get Hurd and Waldrep/Hall to go along with Little, you could put Skenes as your midweek starter and let him focus on catcher/hitting over the weekend

Ya know they don't talk about someone's parents as much in other sports, we didn't hear a ton about Shareef O'Neal's father or Max Johnson's father.

I guess there just is a lot of time to kill in baseball

Just listened to the latest d1 podcast. Before they give their 8 for omaha next year, kendall mentioned they will need to do it again after the draft because you may not know “lsu could have paul skenes in a week”. I think he was using it as an example….but, ya never know

Well I thought Random or Naptime said that we sit in a good spot, he just wants to visit Arkansas first after the Team USA stuff before deciding

I want Skenes bad but I've also flipped my dream scenario to us getting Reginald Crawford and somehow convincing him to pass up second round money to come back for one year and earn top 10 money because that's where he was headed before TJ. I need a upper 90s lefty in my life.

Realistically, I think that is something that might entice him if you sell it well enough no?
