I’m looking over some Northwoods League stats this morning. Merrifield has underwhelmed so far. He has 85 at bats and has posted a .271 SLG%. He hasn’t gotten on base either. The season runs into mid-August so hopefully he can improve upon it.

I wonder if they’re making a move on Priester given Naptime’s post on the rant and the fact he hasn’t been picked yet. It sounded like he was an easy sign so unless some red flags were uncovered he should have been selected already.

That's what I'm wondering. I haven't seen any indication of contact, but our recruiting coordinator isn't even on twitter so doing this thread is going to be challenge for a while.

I noticed that the other day. It seems weird as hell that a college recruiting coordinator wouldn’t have a Twitter presence.

We may still be looking to add HS arms for the '21 class. Kelly just started following Micah Bucknam, a Canadian pitcher committed to Washington that was a draft prospect as well.
ETA: He played in the same HS league that Theo Millas came from. Millas has now taken references to LSU off his Twitter. He hasn't announced a transfer destination, to my knowledge, but his twitter now says Country Roads Baseball, so maybe West Virginia?

This may or may not be relevant to this thread at some point but UC-Davis just placed their entire baseball program on suspension and the entire coaching staff has been place on administrative leave.

They just went 14-43 with a 5.83 ERA so I'm guessing not much.
