Looks like Conner Weigman has entered the portal from A&M

Should we? He's a RS Sophomore, so looks like he has two more years to play.
Nuss is likely to come back for another year, but everyone on TD keeps saying we need to bring in another high-end QB from the portal to compete with him and push him to be his best. I'm conflicted on this line of thinking.
On one hand, you don't want to introduce doubt in Nuss after all he's been through just to get to his first full year as QB1. The last game shows he's capable of being more than a gunslinger - would bringing in another potential QB1 stunt that growth and cause him to regress, or would he rise to the challenge?
On the other hand, can we afford NOT to have a truly competent QB2 on roster, regardless of who would "win" between Conner and Nuss? And what happens if "bad" Nuss comes back for another year, refusing (or being coached) to not run and keep gunslinging in bad situations? It would be good to have options on hand that don't suck, no?
Just speculating, not saying we should do it, but is he worth a look? And, if so, does anyone think he'd actually consider transferring to LSU where he'd have to compete to be QB1?
One other thought: It seems to me that Weigman's skill set is pretty close to Nuss', although he runs more (but Nuss showed he can run in the last game against OU). So, if this unlikely event happens, you'd have two QB's whose game is pretty similar - a definite bonus if one has to come in for the other.
And, if this somehow does happen - and Nuss remains QB1 - that gives Wiegman a year to himself in '26, and gives us a couple of years to bring in a new QB and bring him along instead of looking for The One and throwing him to the wolves early in his college career.
Thoughts?

Weigman was god awful against us. LSU would have beaten Aggie by 17 had Weigman played the full game, and we got boatraced the second Weigman came out of the game.
Also Weigman is not coming to LSU to sit under Nuss. He will transfer somewhere he can start.

I also think you need to find something better to do with your time than writing a novel on a dude that sucks.

If he had stayed in against us this year, we would have destroyed them. No, I don't want him.

Let him go to UIW or Stephen F. Austin.

Yesss but not a good 5 star. The rant can easily tell the difference.

Based on what, exactly? His injuries?

Anthony Jennings was an Elite 11 QB

We all wanted him to play the entire game against us. That tells me all I need to know. Hard pass.

stars don't mean shite after you play college ball.

Based on him sucking and not being good. Have you watched him play?

No high end quarterback is going to come here to compete with Nuss when they can just go somewhere else and start.

It wouldn't be the worst idea in the world for Weigman. Learn the playbook for 1 year, and next year QB1 as a RS Senior.
He'll go somewhere where he can start two years though. So not really an option for LSU.
