Sports Illustrated just had an article about him and here are the 2 key passages.

"According to a report by Charlie Williams of On3 and Inside Texas, the five-star pass rusher and the Red Raiders are expected to mutually part ways with Tech, which is “not expected to put up much of a fight.”

"Back in February, former Texas Tech defensive line coach Zarnell Fitch exited the program after his contract expired in January. Brewster commented on Fitch’s exit in a report by Rivals with two letters that expressed a potential flip."

They mentioned LSU but also other schools. The point of my post is not to predict his flip to LSU necessarily but if someone wants to bet you he sticks with Texas Tech, take that bet.

Yep, my guess is he won't stick with tech either, I just don't see him as an LSU Tiger either. Doesn’t look like a Tiger same way Jaidyn Bryant with the pics showing off his Gold grill looked prune for a team like Miami, not LSU. Just my gut feeling on this one.

It’s sucks because if this was pre NIL it would most definitely be LSU he’d flip to. But now all it takes is some random school he’s never even visited to swoop in there last minute and offer him a few thousand more than LSU and poof he’s gone. Even though he’s loved everything about LSU and the coaches through this whole process but that doesn’t mean shite now.

That's good news. It looked like his visit went well and he seems close with Coach O.

I hope we can lock him up quick and UT and ATM stays on the outs.

Why wouldn't texas tech put up much of a fight?

That makes zero sense to me.

Ole miss has absolutely nothing to do with Brewster recruitment, mentioning them is weird. Tech fans are rare here. While I don't see Brewster ending up a Tiger, we'll have an amazing class nonetheless.

How many more players can we pay???? I would like to see the finances.

Donors are generous now.....how long will they continue? Winning helps, but if prices for players continue to go up radically....something has to give.

Worried about the long term sustainability of college athletics!
Hope we fix it and soon!

Happy 4th!

I will admit that article surprised me a bit too, but I can think of one reason why Texas Tech might want to let this one slide. And yes, we all know that everyone is paying NIL money like a Vegas slot machine hitting the jackpot. Having said that, Texas Tech right now is looking like the BIGGEST PIMP of college football due to the Sorsby fiasco. Perhaps, it would not be the best PR in the world to just accentuate this current appraisal by making sure they are the top bidder if it comes down to money. JMHO.
