Bring him in as QB1, he goes through spring and fall camp, then starts against Clemson.

No doubt he is a dynamic playmaker and Kiffin’s track record with green QBs instills confidence. Geaux get ‘em.

Well, it was intended for the message board world, not the important folks that need to take it seriously.

Levitt does have a very difficult injury to recover from. I have to agree with you.

Ok. Probably could have included this message stating your preference in one of the other 70 relevant threads.

We are learning that HS stars are potential. Transfer stars are production.

You cant pay someone out of a budget based on potential anymore. If it's a transfer and youre looking QB1.. you need to see college game film

Please take Longstreet, kid can ball. He’s a redshirt so he’s put still put in work. He’s got all the skills and is smart enough to learn on the fly. So what if we lose some extra games next year. Bet on long term future.

And Keelon Russell at Bama also hasn’t started a game are they going to win 5 games? JKS at Cal started as a true freshman and threw 18 TDs to 9 INTs and is already the projected #1 pick in the 2028 draft. Longstreet was ranked higher than him a year ago at this time. Idk why yall think 5 star QBs are going to be content with sitting multiple years. Nobody has started a game or thrown a pass until they have.

Shhhh…you are not allowed to have an opinion other than Sam “One-Foot” Leavitt on this forum.

You are not allowed to discuss modern medical information on Lisfranc recovery time.

You are not allowed to say it would be crazy to spend $5+ million on a guy who may or may not be ready going into spring/ fall camp/ or the beginning part of 2026 season.

Remember, around here you know nothing and the coach’s are beyond reproach on this issue.

We ride with Leavitt and it was not a sign of desperation in circling back to One-Foot once Williams returned to UW.

But if we get One-Foot, we will have the #1 portal class!!!

Then who is your number two quarterback genius? Long Street would be here for several years and Clark doesn't want to sit on the bench for several years. It makes way more sense for Sam and Clark. Think past step one

Im not saying yea or nay, I like the prospect of Longstreet. But I will post the following for your use...

The guy hit the portal to be a starter.

The guy has 15 attempts his entire career and those were all against Missouri State and Georgia Southern.

Well, fella. Your post makes no sense. We have no QB and my posts suggest who I prefer to be the starter. Why do I care who the number 2 will be if we don’t have a QB1? You’re worried about the backup because you’re advocating for the QB who may not be ready due to injury. That’s some logic right there.

You're like me. All these people keep hollering about us needing experience and all that jazz which is why we should take the one and done Leavitt, with a bum foot, are crazy. Outside of Indiana, who basically took a senior team and played against a super chump schedule, no first year coaching change goes to the playoffs.

Deboer didn't go year one, he went year two
Lanning didn't go year one, he went year three
Indiana was actually legit year two

Sark didn't go til year 3, Freeman didn't go til year 3, Venables year 4. These are all within the last 4 years of paying to play NIL portal.

This should be a building year and 2027 should be the year. Kiffin brought in a bunch of multi year transfers, not a bunch of one year mercenaries. People forget, he brought Dart in and had him for 3 years. First guy he got big NIL for. Then Austin Simmons was supposed to be the guy with 2+ years left, but Chambliss was just that damn good. DL is barely experienced, OL is a mix match Hodge podge with zero chemistry together. The offense and defense should be loaded in 2027 with talent, depth, and experience. That's how you win. That's how Michigan won, that's how Ohio St won, that's how Indiana is about to win.

Said the same thing about Van Buren. MVB was gonna be the next heisman trophy winner. Ended up being a dud!

Kiffin has to get into the playoff. He’s not gonna accomplish that with a “maybe” QB.

I think the thing you're missing is Longstreet is asking for starter money, without ever starting. Why would you commit to 3.5, 4 million a year for a unknown commodity when you could spend 5 and have a ton of experience but just not have it in the spring. But get your new back up a ton of reps. Its year to year even if we sign Longstreet, that doesn't guarantee he's your qb next year.

Four of the top 7 QBs in QB rating this year were redshirt freshman.

Julian Sayin #2 12-2
Drew Mestemaker #4 12-2
CJ Carr #5 10-2
Brad Jackson #7 7-6 (4 of his 6 losses, they lost 30-31, 41-48, 37-40, 39-42. Any kind of defense, and they finish 10-2 too). This kid was insane over 3200 yards 21 TDs 7 ints 71% cmp 9.2 ypa with 744 rush yards 4.3 ypc and 17 TDs

Basically what I'm saying, with Kiffin and Weis and all these big play WRs, he could have an insane year that will propel him into 2027.
