Jaxson Dart was a high profile QB that went to USC, not Texas.
Lane Kiffin did not come to LSU to bargain-basement shop like he did at ole Miss. A few project players are fine, but this whole idea that they can just “scout” and “coach up” lower level players is ridiculous.
LSU has two Heisman QBs in 5 years, a boat load of money and a coach that has an extremely QB-friendly system. QB’s should be beating the door down to play at LSU right now.

When you've been at a school for just over a month, you don't really control that. You get what you can. Hopefully this is the last time we're left without a QB because it sucks but let the man cook. He found a QB off of Twitter and made him work. He can roll with anybody in the portal and it'll be okay.

Eta: and to be more clear, Kiffin made it to lsu so quickly because of the recruiting timeline; so that is a bullshite excuse. He hasn’t missed anything by only being at LSU a month.

They haven’t lost much on defense, as by design from keeping Blake baker and the staff mostly intact.
We are talking about 1 QB; there is only one ball. The timeline of his hiring presents no detriment to finding a QB. Or shouldn’t, at least. Zero.
