re: Letting OSU out recruit you for Bradford is a bad look on Jake Olsen

No. The staff is supposed to get the best players in Louisiana. Period.
Missing on the next all America safety when that position is one of the weakest on the team is unacceptable.
Aiden Hall and Blaine Bradford are both rated at 93 according to On3 and are both top 75 players overall, meaning they're both very comparable players. Remember when Sage Ryan was a can't miss, future All American for LSU? Yeah, I remember those threads.
Go bleed somewhere else.

It's iPodKing. He's going to troll and bleed all over threads because that's what he does.
LSU has never gotten EVERY in state player it wants but neither has any other program. Sometimes kids just wanna leave. You can't kidnap them.

Yall are getting ridiculous with this. Before i speak my peace, I do not believe for one second he ends up at Ohio St. Until i see a Louisiana stud go to Ohio St or Michigan, im not going to believe it. The last really great Louisiana player that i remember going that far up north was Jerry Tillery from the 2015 class that went to Notre Dame.
Now on to the main thing, why in the hell do yall act like Ohio St is some scrub? They spend tons of money, just won a championship, and was literally a missed field goal a couple years ago vs UGA from blowing TCU out for another national championship. At one point it was LSU and Ohio St competing for the DBU title. Ohio St is historic in every way as a college football program. Why are we acting like we didn't just steal Pickett from Miami? Every top program in a state faces this. Remember the 5 star DL recruit Nick Saban lost to Clemson from his own backyard a couple years ago? Do you know the last time we had good safety play? Elite safety play? Grant Delpit from Texas and Jacoby Stevens from Tennessee.
We have Aiden Hall, who looks to be damn good. Jhase Thomas is going to be a huge surprise once he gets to campus. It's like we forget we got Joel Rogers. We forget just because Deshawn Spears wasn't a standout freshman, that he can't be a stud starting as early as this year. We forget that Toviano was also a very impressive guy coming out of high school that will get his first real chance at his natural position this year. And why are we acting like Bradford's brother Jacob isn't a good prospect in his own right?
LSU isn’t desperate, and they aren't going to lose lil bro Bradford because of "not contacting him as much". If we lose him it's because he didn't want to be here.

5th OSU is paying him a ton of money. Possibly more than we can commit to a safetyZ
they literally pulled a freshmen all american from alabama.

It amazes me this board thinks kids care about relationships with coaches in recruiting anymore. That's about the last objective for most recruits now to make a decision. Does it influence? Sure, but not like you think it does and certainly not like it use to be.
This board has an unusual obsession with hating on Olsen who hasn't been here long enough to be criticizing. He was handed Gilbert, Burns and Sage. None of which he recruited, none of which he developed, and all 3 of which were on different coaching staffs never showing improvement. Nobody could have success with those guys. At some point it's the players and not the coaches.
tl;dr he hasn't been here long enough to criticize his coaching and recruiting is overrated it's who's giving the best opportunity with $$$ potential.

So this is the new loser logic/excuse for missing on a top recruit?

Can you imagine this kid committing to OSU in order to drive up price for your home town team 8 months before official commitment day….
Crazy!
Crazy!

WTF. Dude it’s a bargaining chip. He prob can’t spell Buckeye . Give him more $$ or he leaves. He DGAF where he plays. None of them do.

OSU just started out with a stronger offer. I would rather have the best offer at the end of the process than the best offer at the beginning.

We shouldn’t have two DB coaches

While NIL is undeniably playing a huge part here, are we really going to say he’s wrong if one of the reasons mentioned is developing talent at safety? let’s call it like it is, that position has been mid at best here since delpit.
We can’t sit around and beat our chests about WR’s we snag due to the insane WR talent we produce and put into the league every year, and then turn around and call BS when a safety wants to go elsewhere for the same reasons when we have been terrible at the position for a while now.
Is it possible this kid flips? Absolutely. Would I understand if he doesn’t? Yeah, I would.
That being said, build it back up and they will come.

Literally anyone who has Oregon as a finalist is purely looking for money lmao
Ohio State is currently the highest bidder

Some of y'all just can't be objective about this. I get it, fans are inherently illogical but this melt every time a Louisiana player leaves the state is just so overreactive. Last cycle, 4 of the top 6 recruits came from OOS and nobody had a problem with us plucking them. Nobody threw a fit when we landed Durham, Pickett, Ross, Weston, Solomon, Curne, Shanklin, Weeks x3, Perkins, Miller etc. etc. Lose one in state kid and everyone loses their mind here. That door in and out of the state works both ways and as long as LSU is landing the majority of the Louisiana talent, it's not the end of the world if they lose one here and there.
Oh and btw, they haven't lost Blaine yet. Still a long way to go.

BK recruiting is blah. What happens when your AD goes and hires a dried up old dude vs. a young blood.

He's actually recruited a bit better than Ed the recruiter did.
