in other words, facts be damned, you just reach the conclusion you want because he is your coach Miles is a great recruiter, but holding it against Saban that he not only recruits great talent, but actually achieves with said talent is at best a reach.

Oh let him be a homer. Its not a crime. Better than being a POS sub human Negatiger LOL!

In all seriousness Saban is the best with an asterisk. He has the unfair advantage of the NCAA completely looking the other way with his lover from a previous life Emmert at head of NCAA and the REC running wild. Still the best if going by absolute results, skewed or not. Miles is in a group where h could be anywhere from 2 to 5. Meyer, Swinney, Stoops, Harbaugh in that group. Miles has a great case for number 2.

Wut?

Recruiting wise, Bama spends much more on their recruiting than LSU...LSU is fortunate to be the only big school in the State.

Les is still one of the best in the biz

I will say Miles greatly benefits from LSU being the only major program in the state for elite players. But locking down LA is a tall task, and he has managed to do it the vast majority of the time. Constantly fending off outside schools has to be difficult. Especially Bama, with Saban's ties to LA high schools and success.

OK, fella, whatever you want to believe. But, what, exactly does this have to do with the discussion at hand? The topic we are debating is if Les Miles is the Best recruiter in CFB. Some have (bizarrely) claimed Nick Saban is not the best recruiter, because he has this unfair advantage because he has won so many National Titles. I used the examples of his classes at LSU to show he was recruiting at a very high level before stacking NC after NC.

considering the archaic offense

Yeah its so hard getting recruits to come to a program that runs a prostyle offense. You repeatedly saying we run an arcahic offense doesn't make it true. Lsu runs a pro style offense. Deal with it.

Miles is a much better recruiter than a game day coach.

So is Saban. Weve seen that Saban cant win without superior talent.

modenn offenses wont happen under him , modern offenses only work because they are new , when the new wears off they wont work , LSU 's will , years of trial and error has sculpted our offense !

Saban is the best but Miles is the best at prepping kids for the nfl.

Miles is a great recruiter. Buuttt... his failure at recruiting qb's has reduced the effectiveness of his teams winning hardware.

To label someone the best I would say they need to not just recruit top players but also A TEAM. Getting the top 1 thru 25 db's every year will be great on the individual player numbers but they would never win a game.

Linemen, qb's have been lacking. Seems to be correcting all those problems now!
